Off to Chuck E Cheese

Well Edward went to Chuck E cheese for the 1st time today and loved it!!! He loved riding in ones of those cars that moves a little side to side. Melissa also said he loved looking at all the lights and sounds in there. (Picture below is Edward in the car) I was at school at the time but Edward told me all about in his own language (I call Edward), I just wish I knew what the heck he was saying sometimes. I wish someone would invent an app to translate from Edward to English!
Oh also check out the out fit Edward wore today, he has great taste!!!

Melissa and I will be making a movie this summer about our journey through the NICU and the joy of finally bring Edward home. Edward is doing great, and I am so excited to only have 12 days of school !

Home from Fresno

Well we made it home from Fresno. We sure had a wonderful time. Edward sure enjoyed spending time with the Waters Family. We are all so sad that we had to say goodbye :)
I have a ton of pictures to upload to the web site, so look for them tomorrow. ..
I will also be uploading a trailer I created for a movie we are making called "The Day Boys".

Edward Enjoys a Great Day

Edward enjoyed a great day today. He got a chance to goto church for the 1st time. He loved most of it but got a little hungry during the sermon so Melissa and I took him outside and feed him and let him relax. Edward did wear his church hat to church (see Below).
After Church enjoyed the rest of the day relaxing by the pool. Oh he actually went in the pool for awhile, he didn't like it at first but then got use to it. After the big pool we put Edward in his "Mini" pool by the big pool and he sure loved that (See Picture below, and you can also look on his video page at edwardday.com for a video)
After the pool, he got dressed and we all wished Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Gary a happy 40th Wedding Anniversary. Edward even played his piano for them!!! He sure loves making people Happy. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Off to the park

Well Edward headed off to the Park in Fresno today.. He loved looking at the Ducks and he loved even more going through the Japanese Gardens they have at Woodward Park in Fresno. His eyes were really big the whole time. He had way too much to look at and just not enough time!
Edward also spent the day outside at his Great Aunt and Uncles, enjoying the nice weather and of course doing so of his exercises.
Tomorrow we are off to church, so everyone can meet the baby they for so much, Edward are little miracle from God!!!

Edward arrives in Fresno

Well we have arrived safely in Fresno. Oh boy did we bring a lot. I almost had to think about renting a You Haul, but thanks to some "Tetris" I got it all in!
Below you will see a photo of the packed up car! Boy is it ever a lot to travel with Edward! It is sure worth it however!

Play date with Alex

Edward had another play date with his buddy Alex!! Oh boy the boys had fun, they look at each other then took turns talking a little. Edward also tired to show Alex how to eat his cereal. Alex tired it himself but was a little unsuccessful. We are so thankful for the wonderful friends we made while at the NICU. If one good thing came out of this experience it was all the great friends we have made.

Edward rests up

Well after yesterday, Edward did a lot resting today. He was sure tired. Edward is also resting up for his big adventure this weekend. He is off to Fresno to see his Great Aunt and Uncle Waters. He can't wait to see them again.
Melissa and I sure have learned that it is a lot of work traveling anywhere with a baby. I think we might have to rent a you Haul to carry all his stuff... Edward sends everyone his love...

Edward had quite a day

Well Edward sure was busy today. First he went to my school to say hi to the kids and stayed for 4 hours! The sure loved seeing him (they heard and saw so many pictures). Then after school we had a friend watch him for a hour So I could go to the NICU support meeting with Melissa. After we got home from that at around 5. We feed him and got him dressed and off to bowling he went to say hi to all the people we use to bowl with on Sunday (they switched our league to Tuesday). After that we got in the car and drive over to the NICU so Edward could say hi to the nighttime staff, and of course his primary night time nurse Vanessa!! After we got out of there we came home feed him and finally put him to sleep!!! Boy is he ever tired, I am actually tired just writing all this.
Oh well, at least tomorrow Edward and Melissa are going to do absolutely nothing!!!!

Well Melissa took Edward to JC Penneys today for his 9 month photo shot. He did not want to be there! He threw up on himself and pooped his diaper and then did not smile very much! I guess he was trying to tell his mom something!!! Edward!!! We will sure have his hands full when he gets a little older!

Great fun today

Well we had a great time at the NICU reunion. We actually meant the only family we befriended on the way in. We got a chance to say him to one of his nurses and the social worker who got us into the Ronald McDonald House.
We were kind of disappointed that we could not say thank you to all the doctors and nurses who helped save Edward's life!

Off to toy r us

Well Edward made his first trip to toy r us today, and of course we headed right to the Lego aisle, so we could make a list of all the Legos we are going to buy!! Boy was he ever excited to see all the Legos!!!
We also took Edward over to see grandma Campbell again for dinner, as we will not see her tomorrow as we are off to LA for the NICU reunion. I wished they had picked a different weekend, I mean there is a basketball, hockey and the tour de California all happen in and around Staples Center!!! Thank goodness Cedars- Sinai is on the other end of LA!!!!
Will post lots of pictures tomorrow from the reunion!!! Wish us luck getting there!

Luau Edward

Well Edward made a surprise visit to the nursing home today to see Grandma Campbell and to attend the nursing home Luau! Melissa got Edward all dresses up for the Luau! He sure loved it!!! And was his grandma ever surprised!!!!
Next stop, LA for the NICU reunion, we are so much looking forward to saying thank you to everyone who gave us hope when it looked very bleak!!!

Ok one last word about the web site.

Well Edward continues to grow big and strong. I am still amazed at how fast he is growing. It is hard to imagine that just 9 months ago the boys were born and Edward only weighed about a pound. As Melissa outs it, he went from a stick of butter to the size and weight of a bag of oranges!

New web site

Ok the new web site it up. I am still working out the bugs so bare with me. I still need to return a link for the blog to the home page.
Hope everyone likes the new look. Several people asked for a timeline on the homepage of previous and upcoming events. So I hope the time line I places on the home page is ok. I will be updating that as well with upcoming along with past events by the week

Happy birthday to Edward

Well Edward turned 9 months today... We love you so much Edward!!! Nothing really new today. Therapy went well, and he continues to caught onto tasks very quickly. He is sure very smart, he must get that from me!!!! Actually he must get that from his mom!!!

New weight, height and Edward tries to feed himself

Well as you can read from my post this afternoon, Edward is almost 15 pounds!!! Way to go.. And is 2 feet 4.5 inches, or to the non math people, 26 1/2 inches.
Edward also tried to feed himself today, but was not very successful!!! See picture below! Edward is sure growing up fast, before you know it he will be 18 and be draft eligible for the NHL draft!
Tomorrow will be a happy sad day for me. Happy because Edward will be 9 months old (oh how time flys) and sad because William should be 9 months old too. One thing that has helped me coupe lately is a web site Melissa found. It is called C.L.I.M.B. It stands for center for loss in multiple birth . You can google climb resources and you will find the site. It has tons of resources for everyone who knows of or is dealing with the loss of a multiple. Melissa also found out that their are lots of books out their that deal in the subject of a "twin less twin", and how to explain it and how the child can coupe with the loss as well, when he or she is old enough to understand.
William will also be with us and will Never be forgotten!!!

Weight 14 lbs 15 oz, height 26 1/2 in ( normal range), & HC is 16 1/2 in!

Happy mother's day

Well first, happy mother's day to all the mothers out there. Edward spent the day with his mom and his grandma Campbell. Edward also facetimed with his grandma day in Florida. Edward gave both his grandmas shirts that say this grandma belongs to and all there grandchildren names. He also got each one a photo book with lots of photos of each one of them holding Edward and playing with them!!! The both lived there presents!!!
Edward also got him mom a special picture frame and necklace. Edward sure is a good shopper!!
This week we has lots going on, tomorrow Edward heads back to the doctor for his regular 9 month check up. We will have a new weight and length tomorrow so check this blog tomorrow afternoon!!
Edward also has 3 therapy appointments this week, one of his therapies was sick last week so she is making it up this week. And of course on Sunday we head to LA for the big NICU reunion at Cedar-Sinai. We can't wait to show everyone how big Edward has gotten!!!!

Great time at zoo and Edward pulls off a joke

Well we had a great time at the zoo today! Edward loved seeing all the animals and Melissa loved sending time with her two special guys. We bought a membership so we can go back all year for free!!! And trust me we will be going back, we only saw about 25% of the zoo today. It is so much bigger than when we went like 10 years ago!!!
Edward pulled off a funny joke today, while I was feeding him, well actually after I got done feeding him, I was handing him to Melissa so I could get up and help get him back in the stroller, and we saw something brown on his shoe. Melissa said that he must of "stepped in the mud", well as soon as I looked down at my shorts guess what I saw, more " mud". I can tell you one thing is was not "mud". Edward pooped through his diaper and onto his clothes and my shorts. He of course thought the whole thing was funny. Thankfully Melissa had planned for about everything you could think of, so she grabbed a fresh diaper and his spare clothes and went into the restroom to change him, while I was left there with "mud" all over the front of my shorts. I was able to wash them down with his wipes and some water , but let me just say that I didn't think his little joke was very funny, but he and mommy sure did!!!

Exciting news, off to the Zoo and a surprise doctors visit

Second, we are off to the LA zoo tomorrow for mother's day weekend. Edward and Melissa are very excited!!

Third, Melissa and I got a little worried about Edward, he was getting very stuffed up in his nose, so Melissa and I wanted the doctor to look at it. He examined his lungs, ears and throat. All was normal, so he figures it is probably allegories !!! Oh great already and he is not even 9 months old!!!!

Edward goes to the farmer's market

Edward went down to the farmer's market today with mom to get some more organic fruit so mom can make more food for him.
Melissa also recently found a new toy that we actually bought awhile ago and totally forgot about. It is a vetch piano, see the picture below of Edward playing it.
Only 25 more school days to go until the summer!!! Hurray!!!

Edward goes for a quick visit

Edward and I went back to the NICU today for a quick visit. I had to pick up something from the photographer at the hospital so I figured it would be nice to pop in and say hello. We're they ever happy!!! We also got to see Dr. T who we owe Edward's life too... Dr.T had one good one liner today. I was telling everyone how Edward has not been back to the doctor in over a month and he said; "you that is a good thing", with a grin!!! It was strange however to visit the place without Melissa.
Nothing else really exciting today , Edward continues to grow everyday. Edward is now in 6-9 month clothes and is in a size 3 diaper!!!! Go Edward go!!!

Edward takes 2 walks

Well today Melissa took Edward for 2 walks, one this morning and one this afternoon. The later one I went on as well to see Grandma Campbell. We didn't go in the home, Melissa went and got her and we eat ice cream on in front if the nursing home. Edward goes back to the doctor on Monday for his 9 month check up and we are hoping that we will get the news that Edward might be able to begin to go in places. But if not then so be it!

Edward goes in spa again

Well Edward tired out the spa again and is still loving it!! Edward also spent time with his special lunch time visitor nurse Kim from the NICU. We meant such amazing people alone this long journey and we are so grateful to have each one of them in Edward's life.
27 more school days to go until I am out for the summer!!! Not that I am counting or anything!!!!
