Overall great weekend

Well we had a great weekend with family, it was really sad to see everyone go, Edward sure loved meeting his 1st cousins. It was so sad when they had to say goodbye. I am working on a cousins reunion movie that I will post when done to his his you tube channel. In case you don't know since Feb of this year, Edward has had the pleasure of meeting all his cousins, and we thought it would be nice to make a movie to honor the memories of those visits.
Well back to daycare and school in the morning, goodnight .

Fun day

We sure had a fun day today... We went to Edward's school for an Easter egg hunt, then later in the day after Edward's nap, he fell asleep at the Easter egg hunt, he played played played, after dinner we attempted to get the pictures sears couldn't get, see what you think below, I also updated his photo page with a new album so go check it out, and happy Easter one and all....

Big day tomorrow

Big day tomorrow. Edward will meet his cousin Sadie and Abby for the first time ever and his aunt and uncle see Edward for the first time since his 11th day of life, so we are very excited! Look for lots of pictures and video on his web site in the coming days of the big event.

A great day

Well Edward had a great day at school and a great therapy session as well. His physical therapist told us in our communication notebook that he stood by himself for a few seconds today, so we are getting closer to the big moment....,

Back to "normal"

Well back to normal for the Day family. Edward headed back to day care and we of course headed back to work. Only 3 days to go in the week however before we get another day off (Good Friday). After school and work we head back in the spa again, and this time I got some pictures... Last day gone

Well our last day of vacation is over. We spent the day playing with Edward and we went in the spa one more time. Sorry no pictures the camera battery was dead. Well back to work tomorrow, sorry to make this so short,very tired tonight, spend 3 + hours outside cleaning and mowing, so goodnight.

Busy few Days

Well it has been a busy few days, first yesterday we headed done to Cedars for Edward's 18 month developmental check up. The good news is the doctor is really happy with Edward's weight, height and head circumference. He was also pleased with all the tasks Edward can do, pick things up, find hidden objects...and so on. He was however not happy with Edward's verbal skills, we are already getting a speak assessment done and he wants us to come back down in July to meet with a Neurologist to make sure their is nothing wrong. It always make me feel like a bad parent when I get back from Cedars. Well after we returned from Cedars we swung by the NICU to see Dr. Lipsky and the staff. Edward just went crazy with his walker over there, see the picture below and go check out Edward's you tube channel for a few videos I uploaded of him walking over at the NICU.

Today Edward just played played played. Melissa actually had him outside along time while I headed off to the public library to meet with some of my Geometry students to help them study for the State Test. When I came back they were sure having a great time. Later while Melissa's was at a baby shower Edward and I went in the Spa, don't worry the spa is not turned up to a regular spa temperature. Edward just went crazy in the water, he was splashing so much it was hard to keep my eyes open, sorry no pictures it was hard enough to keep track of Edward without trying to take pictures, maybe tomorrow.  Edward did however get to play with his first hockey set today, he still has to figure out what the stick is for but that will come with time. Well time to get to bed, one more day of vacation left before we head back to work.

A very busy Day

will we had a very busy day today. First Edward had vision therapy in the morning, then a meeting with his Regional Center case worker to add a second day of OT, then PT and finally a doctor's appointment with his GI doctor.

Well to sum it all up, his therapies went great and the GI doctor just told us to breath and relax, he doesn't think that anything is wrong and we just need to give Edward time, and just breath and relax. he said it is his job to do everything he can for Edward without putting him in any unnecessary rick, which the scooping would do since he has to but him under. We really like him a lot and know we just both need to relax, when Edward is ready he will eat solids. He is in charge.

Tomorrow we head off to Cedar's for Edward 18 month Developmental check up so wish us luck. Their are new pictures in the March 2013 photo album on his photo page and I uploaded a new video to Edward's you tube channel so go check it out.. Goodnight

Disney pictures online

Well I have created a new page on Edward's photo page with all the pictures from Disneyland. Boy did we ever have fun, below is my one of the best, Pluto actually got down by himself to try and gets good poise with Edward, thanks Pluto. Sorry about no blog yesterday, the Internet in the hotel sucked....

Tomorrow we have a very busy day, Vision therapy at 7:30, PT at 1:30, doctor's appointment with GI doctor at 4:30, and somewhere in that Edward has to get a nap in....
Oh well time to rest up, goodnight and on't forget to check out all the Disney pictures!

First day gone

Well our first day at...., Disneyland is in the books. Edward had such a great time not only at Disney but at the hotel too. Go check out his you tube channel to see what I mean.
I have uploaded some pictures of today to the photo stream page, the rest are ready to goto the web site however the Internet at the hotel sucks, so I am trying other things to get them uploaded, so please be patient ... Well goodnight , tomorrow day 2!!!

Uncle heads back to work

Well today Edward said goodbye to his Uncle John as he headed back to Las Vegas for work. Edward really had a great time with him. Tomorrow we hope to head of to............. You will have to wait until tomorrow to see were Edward might be headed next. I am going to make this short as we are very tired from the weekend. Great day

Well we had a great day with Edward today, and his uncle even put together Edward's outside play grill. Edward even had his BFF Luke stop by and they even sat and shared with each other , it was so cute, check out the pictures below...,oh and check out Edward multi tasking below as well.... Edward sure is a busy boy....

Special guest is here safely

Well Edward very special guest has arrived from PA via Las Vegas. Edward's uncle John has arrived (Melissa's brother) he is out in Las Vegas for the next six weeks for training and this is the first time he has seen Edward in person since Edward's 11th day of life..., boy does Edward ever love the attention, see picture below of the two of them together. Well goodnight big day tomorrow and guess what,,,,We are on Vacation!

Hair cut

Well Edward got another hair cut tonight, no picture however well post one tomorrow. I thought that I might have a picture of Edward with the Easter bunny to post but we missed the Easter bunny by 10 minutes, he just left when we got there... Oh well.
Last day of school tomorrow for Edward and us for a week.... Hurray...... Time to have some fun in the sun with Edward.... We are just about 18 hours away from Edward special guest arriving to see him...,, you will have to wait til tomorrow to see who it is..., well goodnight

Edward goes back to daycare

Edward headed back to daycare today, and well it was back to normal. He seemed to pick just back up, playing hard, eating hard and eating well too. In just about 48 hours and Edward well get a very special weekend visitor but you will have to wait until Friday to see who it might be... Well goodnight

Great Day with Pat

Well Edward spent a great day with Auntie Pat today, as she baby sit him while he had to sit out of day care. They had a great time. Edward had such a great time today he refused to take a nap... Oh boy, our night should be interesting... Will let you know tomorrow.... But who could blame him for not sleeping when he was having such a great time with Auntie Pat, thanks again Pat for baby sitting Edward. Tomorrow Edward heads back to daycare and hopefully does't bring home another present..

What a difference a year makes, PINK EYE AGAIN

Well first, Edward has pink eye again.... oh no... At least this time it is only a mild case, and the doctor says he only needs to be out of day care for about a day. Thanks auntie Pat for coming over tomorrow to baby sit.. We really appreciate it...
Well as I wrote in yesterdays blog, Edward went outside on Sunday again and he went swinging in his swing again, boy what a difference a year makes, below are two pictures, one taken Sunday,  one year  about a year ago in March 2012 and one taken in Feb 2012 when we first bought the swing.... See if you can figure out which is the new one....

Outside again

a day outside

Well today we spent the day outside cleaning with Edward. We wanted to clean the back so that Edward could enjoy his out door toys. (His swing set, house, water table and pool). Of course it is still a little cold to us the water toys, but we are just getting ready, After we got done cleaning we took some pictures of Edward playing outside, you can see them on his Photo page and click on the March 2013 photo album. Anyone speak Edward?

Does anyone speak Edward? I uploaded a new video of Edward talking to Edward's YouTube page of Edward talking,,,,, Does anyone speak Edward , google translate does not list Edward as a language I can translate from? And their is no app for that...

New video uploaded to Edward's YouTube channel of him playing, boy does he love to play.... He always just goes goes goes... Edward also continues to explore his play kitchen everyday and discover new things all the time.... Boy is he ever a smart kid,....

Feeding going great

Well today at Edward's OT therapy his therapist could believe how great he is doing. He actually chews everything now, before he would just try to swallow everything hole. We are so proud of him. She just wants to take it slow, right now he can eat cheese puffs and veggie sticks, next we are going to work on some fruits and then maybe down the road pasta. Edward continues to walk

Edward continues to walk all over with his walker.... He loves to walk..... I can't wait til he can walk and run without the aid of the walker. Nothing else really new.....

Another day

Well another day gone, today Edward and spent over two hours just playing and wrestling after school. That boy never gets tired, never. Where does he get all the energy from?
Edward continues to walk like a crazy boy with his walker, any chance he gets he pulls himself up to is and takes off, the only problem is he has not figured out that he can't go through stuff....

Restful day

Well we had a restful day today, and Edward continues to walk all over with his walker....he love just pushing it around all over the place.... He is officially on sippy cups....hurray littler buddy....

Walking more

Go check out his YouTube channel, Edward is actually on his own grabbing the walker and taking off. I let him go all over the house today, and he loved every minute of it.
Just got back from a birthday shopping and dinner trip with the Barbers. What fun we had but more about that tomorrow. Goodnight

Happy birthday mommy

Well today we celebrated mommy's birthday. Edward and I sent her flowers to school and we went to celebrate her birthday with grandma Campbell at the nursing home. Tomorrow we are off on a birthday shopping trip to Victoria's gardens... So we need to rest up, below is a picture of the flowers
