Another bike ride

We all went for a bike ride tonight. We did 2 loops around our block. Boy did Edward ever have a blast!!!! No pictures or video however, since we were both focusing on Edward and making sure he was enjoying it, which of course he was.
Some exciting news however tonight, Edward ate some real food on his own!!!! Some potato wedges from the grocery story. Not the skin just the potato but he loved them. I uploaded a few new videos to his you tube channel, so go check them out! Well goodnight everyone

Fun day

Well we had a really fun day today . First Edward tired out his pool again and oh boy did he ever love it. Then later I installed Edward's bike seat on Melissa's bike and she took Edward for a ride... Boy did he ever have a ball. Great Day

well we had a busy day, first the MS walk then off to the park to tutor, then finally home. Will post more details later, I am very tired, Goodnight.

Quick update

ENT doctor put Edward on medicine to try and reduce the liquid in his ears, we go back in 3 weeks for a check up, so keep your fingers crossed.

Another day

Well another day in the books, Edward had a good day at daycare. I wish I had new news to share but that about it. Oh Edward and I did walk together down the hall a few times holding on with just one hand, and he keep catching his balance every few steps.... We are close. Very close....
Tomorrow we head to the ENT doctor to see about tubes in his ears, so I will update you about that on tomorrow night's blog.... Well goodnight.

Great therapy

Edward had a great night at therapy. He seems to be learning quickly how to eat solids. His favorite thing to eat so far are cheese puffs. We are afraid however that he is going to be a very picky eater, like his dad. Whenever he tries something new, he sticks his tongue out to try a little on his tongue and not matter what it is, even something he likes, he makes the funniest, I don't like this face. I will try and take a video of it in the next few days. Remember to check his YouTube channel,and photo Stream daily as I am always uploading something new to one of those pages daily. Edward turns around

 Well Edward is officially front facing!!!!! Hurray, today we turned both car seats around, see picture below. His feet were starting to hit the seat the other way. Boy is he ever growing fast, and did I mention that today at PT he stood for 10 seconds by himself before he discover he was not holding on and fell down. He will also walk with you just holding onto one hand. We are getting very close... Very close.... Well nothing else to exciting to report, so goodnight.

Oh the medicine seems to be working.. HURRAY, if you have no idea what I am talking about read last night's blog....

Doctor update

Well today we took Edward to the allergy doctor to see why he is so stuffed up all the time. The doctor looked in his nose and "could not believe" all the stuff that is coming out of his sinuses. He said they are very critical. He gave us a strong antibiotic to give Edward to try and clear out his head and he wants to see him in 10 days. The great news is his lung were as the doctor put it "crystal clear" so this is just a sinus issue.... He is hopeful that the medicine he gave us will help and that there will be no need at this time to preform any other tests, but time will tell. Well time to go to bed... Hope this makes sense to everyone, I am very tired and my grammar is probably EXTRA bad tonight..

Interesting day

Well  Edward had a very interesting day to say the least. First we went to the annual Poppy Festival in Lancaster where he hung out with his friend Luke and got to show off his walking, well with us holding his hand. Then when we came home we played, talked to Grandma Day in Florida and finally tried to have dinner, however lately Edward has been losing his desire for baby food, so I told Melissa to give him some of our food at dinner and lets see what happens. Below is the results. He didn't take it all but he tired it all, and gave us a funny face when he tired a few things for the first time. I am really worried that Edward might be at picky as I was when I was a kid... Oh well as long as he is healthy we don't care.. Below is a picture of Edward eating dinner tonight. Goodnight

Great day

Well Edward and I had a great day. We played and worked on walking. I am proud to report that Edward was able stand by himself without holding on for about 5 seconds and he will walk with you if you hold on his hands.... I think we are getting very close to the big moment,

Great doctor's appointment

Well we are totally off oxygen... Hurray...Edward did great he is sating 96%.... Hurray. Edward was sure excited to be at the doctor's office, go check out his you tube page to see why I mean... Tomorrow the boys(Edward and I) are hanging out all day while mommy takes grandma to the poppy festival. Oh boy..., we are so sad to be missing all that shopping.....not .

Well since Edward is off oxygen maybe just maybe he might sleep through the night, so I want to get to sleep while he is still sleeping. Goodnight

Great Therapy

Edward had a great OT session today, he just decided it was time to eat. He keep grabbing the cheese puff  and eating them with no problem. We were so proud. Tomorrow he has a make up OT session so hopefully he does just as well tomorrow. Edward has had this bad habit lately of getting up at 1am and wanting milk and then again at 4am so I am so tired I can barely keep my eyes open, so goodnight and wish us luck at OT  tomorrow.

Another great day, great taste in clothes

Well Edward had another great day at daycare, he had PT for 1 1/2 hours as his therapist is trying to catch up from last week. She said he did great, he however still is not walking and she thinks it might be related to his ears. Remember I said last week we have to go to a ENT doctor to see about having tubes put in and the ear does control balance. Makes us really wonder. Check out the outfit Melissa out on Edward today, boy does he have good taste in clothes...

The World is so sad

Why can't we as human being just get along so that we can better man kind, instead of hurting each other. Our hearts and prayers go out to those affected by the events in Boston MA.

Well Edward had a great day back at daycare, he just seems to be able to just jump right back into things, were does he get all his energy from? Well speaking of energy, I am on empty so goodnight.

God bye uncle

Well Edward said goodbye to his uncle John as he headed back to Las Vegas. Tomorrow Edward heads back to daycare for the first time in 2 weeks, hope he is ready. Edward continues to be on oxygen at night but nothing during the day. He also has to steroid breathing treatments, one in the morning and one at night. We hope to be off oxygen totally very soon......

Great day at walk

Well today we had a great day at the autism walk to support those who are effected. I took lots of pictures that I will post tomorrow. The walk was at the local baseball stadium were the single team of the Houston Astros plays. Edward got to crawl,all over the grass and he lived it. He even got to getaway picture with a Star Wars character, which one you ask. You will have to wait till the pictures tomorrow to find out, well time to go to bed.

Weekend

Well the weekend is here, and Edward has a special guest here to see him. Melissa's brother, who is in Las Vegas on business so he came back again to see Edward. Boy does Edward ever have a lot of energy. The last 2 nights Edward has decided to get up at 2am and have a party until 5. So we are very tired and I need to make this short tonight incase he decides to get up again... Below is a picture of Edward partying last night at 5am.

Fun day

Edward had at fun day at home with auntie pat, she agreed to watch him for the rest of the week before we sent him back to the germ fest of day care.
I guess today while he was taking his nap , auntie Pat picked up the living room (Edward's toys) and as soon as he got up, guess what he did, destroy the living room again....,last day of school tomorrow before we get two full day of playing and hanging out together, oh boy can't wait.....

good news bad news in away

Well here we go again. First the good stuff, today at the doctor;s Edward's level were great so the doctor removed him from the oxygen during the day but wants to be cautious so he is keeping him on the oxygen while he sleeps, which is ok with us.
Now the bad news, we finally had his hearing test today and found out that Edward's ears are not draining properly so Edward might need tubes put in this summer, oh boy here we go again...But overall I guess it is not that bad of news. Below is Edward's first picture off Oxygen again.....

Good day

Well Edward and I had a great day together, we played a new game called blanket, Edward's version of hide and seek. Edward also mastered the piggy bank, goto Edward's you tube channel to check out the video. Tomorrow Edward and mommy head back to doctor for a check up and opportunity number two to get off the darn oxygen, I will update the blog tomorrow once I hear. I have also uploaded new pictures to Edward's photo stream so make sure you check them out as well.

Another failed test

Well I thought Edward did really good on is SO2 test today, however I guess it was not good enough, we go back on Wednesday for another follow up. I am really torn, I want to be the best dad I can to Edward but I also want to be the best teacher I can be to my kids who have to take a state test in 14 days to see if they can move on to Algebra 2 in high school, but no pressure. Oh and on top of that I am running out of sick days.... Hopefully we get good news on wednesday otherwise.....Help us anyone please!!!!!

Big Day tomorrow

Well we have a big day tomorrow. Tomorrow we head back to the doctor for a status update on Edward condition, we are praying for good news, we are hoping to get off the oxygen he is on at least during the day. Melissa and I were talking today and we realized that Edward has not been on 100% oxygen at home 24 hours a day in over a year, so this situation is really bring back some bad bad memories of the events that happened over 19 months ago. Yesterday's blog

I am very sorry if I upset anyone with yesterday's day blog entry. We are very stressed with Edward's condition especially since there is a good chance he has RSV again which in certain babies can be deadly. We have just had a lot of emotions from the past year that have resurfaced and we both have been crying a lot, so again I am truly sorry. We are thankful for all the support we have received from our families and friends because without you and God we could have never made it this far. All of you have been more supportive than you know.

A great a home

Well Edward and I spent a great day at home, he was very clinging this morning but after a 2 plus hour nap in the morning he started to wake up and play. We had so much fun, we played tag in the house and even went outside for awhile. he seems to be doing so much better. Tomorrow we go back to the doctor for a check up and we hope for good news. One scary night

Well we had quite. A night. After Melissa picked up,Edward from daycare she noticed he was breathing funny so she called the doctor. The doctor got us right in and checked his SO2 level which was only 93. He rushed us over to the therapy room in the office and had us give Edward a breathing treatment, so see his breathing would get better or we might be hospital bound. Will after a long 10 minutes he listened again and Edward was slightly better... He told us to keep him out of daycare and that he wanted to see us again on Friday, somI guess I just got a four day weekend. When will Edward be strong enough to fight this stuff off? Come on little buddy get better soonl. Goodnight from a very tired family

Another day gone.... And new movie coming

Well another day and well another day of playing for Edward.... Nothing really new to report their. Over the past 2 months through tragedy and triumph Edward got a chance to meet all his FIRST cousins and I am working on a movie to mark the events. I have created a tailor for the upcoming movie I am calling Cousins Reunion 2013. I will be uploading the tailor directly to a new page I will be creating on edwardday.com, and I hope to have the movie completed by the end of April... Well goodnight everyone from CA.

Great first day

Well Edward had a great first day back to daycare, he just loves to play with kids his age, which makes us very sad that his brother is no longer with us but is watching over him in heaven. Oh I forgot to mention that Edward go a chance to hang out with Alex, his buddy from the NICU, at the Easter egg hunt, see picture below. We are just amazed at how much they look alike.... What do you think?
