GREAT Day in Fresno

Well we had a great first day in Fresno. Edward is walking all over the place. It is unbelievable. Edward went to the mall today to get some new shoes, since his feet are now 5.5!!!! OMG. His feet are growing fast!!! We got him 2 pairs since it was buy one and get one free...
Once we got back to Melissa's aunt and uncle Edward took a nap and then head for the pool, there is a picture below of Edward in the pool, I am trying to upload them all currently but the godaddy servers are offline on my end, so I can't upload but the web site can be viewed.. I know it sounds confusing.. Well off to church and then the park tomorrow. Goodnight everyone..

Edward goes something new

Well today at OT Edward did something new. He was able to reach in his spill proof container to take out the snack inside. Sounds like a small task but it is huge. He also is starting to figure out his riding toys but he only goes like 3 feet before he gives up. Oh well below are pictures of the big moment during OT. New Mall Accessory and funny story

Well Edward has new mall accessory, see the picture below. It really wanted to take off tonight at the mall, but that is not the funny story.. The funny story is, after his bath tonight, I dried him off and put his towel on so he could walk to his room (naked), and well, he did great until he got to the Pet Gate into his room, no he didn't fall, he turned toward the hallway and well, went number one all over the tile.. Well at least he didn't go on the carpet.. Well that is it, goodnight.

Tough Weekend is over

Well we are through the "tough weekend". Thank you for allowing us sometime to ourselves. Well Edward is doing great with this walking thing. He is going all over all the time. He just loves to walk know, forget the crawling thing. When some of you see him you are not going to believe it is Edward. Oh did I mention that Melissa tired on one of his one piece outfits today and there were too small, and in June they were too big. Edward is growing really fast. We got a halloween costume already for him, at Costcos, but we are not sure it is going to fit by halloween. Oh well time will tell.
Oh Edward also got some new luggage, so he can have his own bags when we head off to see people, see pictures below of Edward modeling the luggage.. Well goodnight.

Though Day and night

As the 25th approaches the days are not harder to get through. Sorry about no blog last night. Melissa and I spent the night talking about William and all the good memories we share. We also did a lot of crying as well. The blogs might be short this weekend, but I will try and resume their normal length next week after the 25th.
And again, please give us our space on the 25th. We just want to spend it with Edward sharing memories of his brother and drawing strength from Edward.

Milk anyone

Well I have to share this funny picture with you, well pictures. 

Edward is getting so good walking that he is drinking and walking at the same time (picture below) however at therapy tonight he decided he was done with his milk and had a little milk fight with us. It got all over him. It was so funny, we couldn't stop laughing. Edward actually did this to himself , we never got a chance to react, so I guess I should say that Edward had a milk fight with himself not us.... 

Great PT therapy, faster than expected

Well Edward had a great PT session today. He showed his therapist everything he can do. Walk, climb, go from floor to standing. She was so impressed... She couldn't believe everything that he is doing.. GO EDWARD..... We are so proud of you..

Well I didn't expect edwardday.com to reach 15000 visitors so soon. We reached the mark this afternoon. 15000 visit in just over 2 years. You do the Math. That is over 20 visits a day, not too bad... I am still working on a big surprise but I am not quite ready yet. Sorry thought I had through Labor day weekend. Well look for a surprise soon on edwardday.com.. Well goodnight.

Another week begins

Well here we go, our first full week at school! School for all three of us is going great so far. And on top

of all that you should see how much Edward is walking!!! Unbelievable... 

Nothing else new otherwise, however I do have one small request, if everyone would, please give us our space on Sunday. We just want to be left alone so we can remember and mark the two year anniversary of William's passing. We both are have been really thinking about it and would appreciate some space from everyone on that day. Thank you 

Family Fun Day

Well we had a great family fun day today. We took a ride together down Sierra Hwk all the way to Valencia. Sierra Hwk is the old road people would have to use before the Highway went in. Once we arrived in Valencia we headed to Carter's store at the Outside Mall they have. We needed to get Edward some bigger clothes for the fall. OMG, Edward walked so much at the mall, and even once we returned home. I can't believe how much he is walking now, we didn't think he was ever going to walk! Edward also rode the Carousel with mom, go check out his YouTube page for the video of his ride, and check out his August 2013 photo album for all the photos we took this weekend of Edward walking all over!!!!

Well time to get to bed, as our first full week of school starts tomorrow...

Edward takes a walk

Well Edward decided to walk even more today. From walking down the hall, which he usually doesn't do , to walking from one end of the house to the other, Edward decided today was a no crawling day... He even took a long walk outside after t cooled down, it was over 100 today. See some pictures of his walks below... Well We just hope to be a 100% walker by the end of the month.

First week of school done

Well Our and Edward's first week of school is done. Edward seems to be adjusting to his new room and Melissa and I are adjusting to our new students. Last night during his birthday celebration we took him over to visit the NICU.Oh boy did they come running to see how much Edward is growing. See picture below..

Also before OT therapy we stopped by Sonic, a fast food restaurant, to get some food as all three of us were very tired. Melissa got Edward a happy meal with a toasted cheese sandwich. When she got it, she unwrapped it and handed it to Edward, when she looked back 4 minutes later it was gone.. And no he did not throw it on the ground, he ATE IT!!!! Boy does he like ANYTHING with cheese...ANYTHING.....

Big day

Well today was a big day, not only was it our first day of school but it was also Edward's 2nd birthday!!!!! They had a little party for him at day care and we are headed to OT where we are going to have another little party. We also hope to head over to the NICU tonight, but we will see how we are doing on time. 

It is hard to believe that 2 years ago today we started this crazy journey that we are still on....

Edward has another great day

Edward had another great day at day care. He ate with all the other kids, he even did great at PT today. He was even out playing with the 1.5 and 2 year olds when I picked him up. He seems to be just falling right back into his day care schedule.
Well one more day for Melissa and I to get ready before we have kids again.. Where did the summer go??? Well time to get to sleep...

Great first day

Edward had a great first day at say care. The teachers said he ate with the other kids and even tried to walk with the kids when he was outside at "recess". We were so happy to hear the great report. We hope he continues to do great. Below is a picture if Edward today and a year ago... What a difference!!!! 

Note to all: I know many if you have told me to make Edward Day Year 2 video available to you can view on your phone. However, I can not do that, a conflict with YouTube, long story. So to get around it, I will be creating a new page on edwardday.com that will contain the movie, that way you should be able to watch it in your phones... The page should be up some time tomorrow.

Summer Vacation is over

Well with that, summer vacation has come to an end. Tomorrow Edward heads off to day care again. A new room ,new teachers and some new kids. This year however at daycare Edward will eating there food, thanks to his OT therapist. She has him able to eat most foods, not a lot but some. We are so thankful for all of Edward's great therapist.

FYI, As I mentioned in an early blog entry, Edward Year 2 has been upload to his you tube channel so be sure to go check it out.

We had a great birthday weekend, but as his real birthday approaches we become a little sad as we should be celebrating 2 boys birthdays and we are not. On 8/25, it will mark the 2 year anniversary of William's passing.. Rest in peace William.. WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH....

Great Second Day, issues with Web Site

We are having a great time. Today we visited Sea World. We watched the Killer Whales in there observing tank, and then went to the Dolphins show. We are going to Killer Whale Show Tomorrow. After the Dolphins show we played a while in the kids playing area, Then Edward took a nap and mommy and daddy went shopping for awhile, and bought Edward a new stuffed animal that is bigger than he is!!!! (See Picture below of him next to it at the new hotel). When Edward woke up we went over to see the penguins and then decided to call it a day and head for the NEW HOTEL. The Red Roof inn was so small that we couldn't move around when the pack and Play was up, see picture below. Melissa said it felt like we were in a show box..
We are now saying in a Holiday Inn Express about 1 mile from Sea World.. And the rooms are so much bigger!!! One more day in San Diego before we head home on Thursday to prepare for Edward's second Birthday Parties. One on Friday night for the Adults and a kids party Saturday at Build A Bear in the Mall...

I am having major issues With the Photo Page on edwardday.com. I can not get any of the photo albums to appear. I think I am going to have to rebuild that entire page. In the mean time I have uploaded more pictures than usual to this blog.. Enjoy... And I will try and get the page rebuilt tomorrow after Sea World.. Goodnight.

Great time

We had a great time at Legoland. Edward walked so much in the Duplo Lego Area, see some pictures below. I tried to upload all the pictures to edwardday.com but now the whole photo page seems to be gone/ Maybe by the time you read this the page will be back. It is issues with the godaddy servers.  I also did get a video uploaded to his youtube page of him and mommy riding the Lego train, so go check it out. We are switching hotels in San Diego since the room we are in at the REd Roof Inn is smaller than Edward's room no joke. We are going to goto a Holiday Inn express tomorrow after Day one at Sea World.. That is right, tomorrow we head off to Sea World.. Well time to get some rest...

safely at Legoland Hotel

Well the day family has arrived safely at the Legoland hotel. You would not believe this place.. LEGOS EVERYWHERE.. There is even a Lego scavenger hunt you can do. YOu have to go around and count things to get this 4 digit number, once you have the number you go back to your room, enter the code into a locked box in your room to claim FREE LEGOS!!! It only took Edward and I about 3 minutes to count what needed to be counted...

Off on Family Vacation

Well tomorrow we leave for our short family vacation. We are once again going to sea world. We had called off the sea world portion once we thought Edward would be able to get in on Tuesday for additional hearing tests, however that did not pan out, so we don't go back to Children's Hospital until September the 9th. As Melissa out it, God is telling us to go take a vacation, and a vacation we will. First stop.. LEGOLAND.. Next time I blog it will be from LEGOLAND.. Well need to rest up for the long drive ahead.. Another year older and a trip to the park

Well I am another year older, and Mommy and Edward sure did there best making my birthday the very best. Thanks you two...
Today we went to the park again and Edward continues to get more and more courageous everyday. Today at the park Edward walked a little more and even went for a short walk on the side walk. See some of the park pictures below. We have a busy week ahead, Sunday we head to Dillion's Birthday party, a friend of Edward's. Then after the party we start our 4 day family vacation. First stop LEGOLAND. I have lived in California for 14 + years and Edward is not even 2 years old and we both would have been to Legoland 3 times!!! Oh boy I can't wait to see Edward walk in to Legoland on his own. Well time to get some sleep...
