New table

Well Edward got a new play table recently. It came with a wooded train set but we put that away until he gets older. We are using it so he can put his Vtech village he got for Xmas out and it will be out of the way. It is hard to okay with it if you always have to put it together And someone is not a good helper. Edward's eats ice cream and goes done big slide

Well today at OT therapy Edward went down the big slide all by himself. See picture below. I also uploaded a video of the event to Edward's YouTube channel so be sure to go check it out. 

After therapy we went to the mall for our weekly walk . We also got ice cream cones to celebrate the occasion and for the first time Edward ate almost all the ice cream, including the ice cream inside the cone... He did not eat the cone, just the ice cream!!!! But we are very happy!!! Well that is it, goodnight 

Emotional moment mommy rides trike

Well when I picked Edward up at daycare I had a very emotional moment. When I walked in he was sitting at the table like a big boy eating and drinking, see picture below. He is the one with the black shirt on not facing me. I just told them to let him finish. I took a moment to sit there looking at him remembering just about 2 1/2 years ago no one knew if he would even survive. I cried just thinking about everything..... 

Later when we got home, mommy decided to get on his trike and ride around with him! 

A visit

Well today Kay Hejlm came by to give Edward his Xmas present. She is Like Edward's 3rd grandma( opps I mean like his 4th grandma. He loves to see here. He smiles and even goes to her to give her hugs and kisses. Below is a picture of Edward with his visitor tonight. Well goodnight.

Let's go dancing

Well tonight was the winter ball and Edward made his yearly appearance at the dance, all dressed up. See picture below of him and mommy.... Well it was a long day so goodnight 

Edward drinks from a straw

Well at OT tonight, Melissa brought a cup with a straw for Edward to practice with the therapist, since he has never done it before. And well she hands him the cup with milk and guess what he did? Drank like he has been doing it all his life !!!!! It was so funny. Picture if the moment below....

Jump jump jump, Edward all clear

Well tonight out of the blue, Edward got up on his trampoline and actually got a little air. We were clapping and cheering and he just thought the whole thing was funny. 

We also went to see Dr. E, Edward's doctor, Edward has been not himself. Well the virdict is his two year old teeth are half in and the doctor says that can really affect him. Oh boy. At least it was something minor.

Just a day come

Well nothing really exciting went on Saturday. We stayed in and just rested. We are all still tired from going back to school and work. We are so thankful to have Monday off... We both can't believe that Feb is almost here. Where does time go. Edward is about to be 2 1/2. We are going down to Valencia on Monday to buy him a toilet that makes noises when you go to the bathroom in it. That is right, it is time to potty train. Well we are going to introduce Edward to the toilet and see where it goes. I just hope Edward is easier to potty train than I was... Well goodnight

Edward visits mommy's classroom

Well today after school, I went to pick up Edward and bring him with me to mommy's class as she needed me to fix some of her computers after school. She keeps asking me how I know so much, and I always tell her that you learn a lot by crashing your computer you had in college everyother day trying to figure why things worked and why. I swear I should open up a computer repair business. 

Away, mommy put Edward in one of her chairs her kids use when they are reading. She gave him some milk that she had on ice at school and a container of cheese puffs (Edward's favorite food) and he was good. See pictures below of Edward's setup with mommy....

Great therapy

Well Edward had a great therapy session. He colored but little coins in a piggy bank and even staked 6 blocks up as well. Below is a picture of Edqard at OT...

Oh and this is a picture of what Edward grabbed and walked around Toys R Us with. Funny a little. Melissa said he is practicing for when he has a daughter later in life. 

Edward getting bigger

Well lots to tell you so please bare with me. 

First, yesterday at day care when I picked him up they asked if he got taller over Xmas vacation, I said I think so. We went home and noticed his clothes were getting a little small, so out goes the 2t shirts and in comes the 3t shirts. So we did wash last night and switched out all the shirts. We also changed out his pants from 18-24 months to 24 month pants. He still has short legs but a big upper body. Mom says that is the way I am too. 

Second, today when I picked him up he came running over to the fence that encloses there play area and followed me as I was walking in to get him. However you have to go around the corner where he can't see you, so he got really mad, until he saw me again, then he was fine. He went running out waving goodbye and blowing kisses... It was so cute. He even said goodbye to people as we passed them going out.... 

Third, when we got home Edward went running to mom and was so excited to see her. After dinner, he even got a story or two out of us, and currently he is off shopping with his shopping cart... Well hope this makes sense.....

First day back

Well today was our first day back, Edward was not happy this morning when Melissa dropped him off . But I guess after about 10 minutes he was right back to normal!!! We all had a great day and know it is time to get some much needed rest..... 

Back to school and go check you tube

Ok well back to work tomorrow.....well it was such a great break but all things must come to an end....

Edward gets mail

Well Edward got his first magazine in the mail today. Hello, by the publishers of highlights which I remember getting as a kid. It is so cute, just a small little story to read and try to identify the objects on the page, something he needs to work on. Below is a picture of the magazine.

Well tomorrow, Sunday, is our last day off, after 3 weeks we need to return to work :(... We both wish we could get paid and not work....

Playdate

Well Edward had a playdate on Friday with Ryan and Nokia, both kids of parents who work at the nursing home taking care of Edward's Grandma Campbell. The kids and parents were really nice, but Edward not so much. It seemed every time a kid tried to play with something of Edward's get got really upset and tried to take it away, he also yelled at them, not sure what he was saying but we can only imagine. He got a little friendlier when we took everyone outside, Edward seemed to forget all about his toys outside, because he loves going outside and just running outback... He loves to be outside, and thank goodness that we have seen a very warm winter so far, temps in the 60's and 70's, when they are usually in the 40's and 50's. We hope this weather last awhile since the warmer weather seems to help Edward from getting sick as well.

Edward goes for a walk

Well on Monday we took a family walk around the neighborhood and Edward of course went in style, see picture below. Edward is also learning to ride his tricycle. We had to get a smaller one as the one that papa Campbell bought him when he was here was a little big for him. His PT therapist told us of a smaller one that they use, so we went and got it. She seems very interested but just has not figured exactly what to do, even though we have shown hi a few times. Well we think he knows what to do but likes it better when you push him.
We also cleaned up the living room a little.If you have ever been to our house, it looks like a day care center, so we bought another toy box to put under the window in the living room to help clean things up, a picture of the new toy box is below. What kid do you know of who has 2 TOY BOXES? Oh wait that would be Edward!!!!

Everyone gone safe Edward a leafs fan?

Well Edward's papa and Nana Campbell made it home safe and sound to NY, it had to be a long day for them, thanks for a great visit. 

Well today after we took down the Xmas lights outside, Edward and I went in to hang out and watch the end of the NHL Winter Classic (the annual outdoor game). Well just as the Maple Leafs  scored to win the game Edward threw his hands up in the air to celebrate and started clapping, I played it again to see if he would do it again and he did. I video taped it and will upload it to youtube tomorrow. It is so funny. Well maybe I can still make him a ducks fan !!!!!

Whole piece and new picture

Well we went out to dinner tonight at yard house and Edward got cheese pizza, and I got pizza as well. Melissa cut up Efward's pizza into little pieces but after watching me he wanted the whole piece so we gave it to him and he ate the whole thing . See picture below. We also went to JC Penney's today and had some new pictures taken, as we got a gift card from JC Penney's photo from a special they ran at Xmas when we had out pictures taken , see a sample below. I will upload the rest tomorrow afternoon to the Jan 2014 photo album . Well goodnight 

Papa and nana leave

Well Edward had a great visit with his papa and nana Campbell but tonight they left to go back home. Edward just loved having them here and can't wait to see them again. Below are a few pictures of the fun we had the past few days. Safe travels and we will see you soon we hope...
