Rain and potty

Well it is raining, as they would say cats and dogs. The news said we are getting more rain from this storm then we have had in the past 2 years. Mommy pit a special coat on Edward so he would not get wet. 

Also in other news Edward said , well he pointed that he had to go potty so we put him on it but then he decided not to go , oh well as least it is a start

Off to Soccer

Well Edward made his yearly appearance at the New Vista vs Cole soccer game. (Cole is the school I use to teach at, and New Vista is the school I currently teach at). Edward asks

Well Edward continues to amaze us, tonight before his breathing treating he asked for ca ca which is Cailliou a cartoon that he likes. Edward's toiler arrives, the NICU turns 30.

Well today Edward's toilet arrived for potty training. We are going to try and potty train him during spring break, well at least start. He loves his toilet, so much in fact that he thinks it is a new push toy.. Below is a picture of Edward with his new toilet..

We also learned today that the AV NICU turned 30. Below is a link to an article about the NICU turning 30. We are so honored to be one of the many success stories from the AV NICU. We are so thankful for all their wonderful care. They made things easier in a very hard time in our life.

Ride his horse

Well Edward is going wild at home, in a good way. He just does things with out us having to try and get him to do it. Like ride his rocking horse or go down his slide he has inside, he just goes it and loves every minute of it. Below is a link to a video of him riding his rocking horse.

Oh when I picked Edward up his teachers told me he is really talking a lot at daycare, I guess he even says good bye to the kids that are leaving, they are so excited to see how much Edward is growing up.... And we are too.....

Wheels on the Bus

Edward's pink eye is great, after one day it looks like it is normal.... But we will continue to add drops as the doctor instructed. Well Edward is fast asleep and I am tired, need to get up at 4am to watch the Gold medal game in hockey Canada vs Sweden (The ducks have players on both teams) Not sure who to root for, maybe I will just hope no one gets hurt.

Game Lost, Pink eye AGAIN...

Well Edward and I wore our Miracles jersey today, hoping that the USA Men's team could find away to beat Canada, unfortunately that did not happen, USA lost 1-0 in the semis and will now play Finland for a chase at the Bronze Metal, while Canada plays Sweden for Gold.. Oh well, I guess Edward will have to win Gold for USA in like 20 years, look for Edward Day in the Olympics in 2034, location TBD.
Oh when I sent to pick up Edward at daycare, one of his teacher's told me he might have Pink eye again, so I called his doctor, we got right in and guess what? He has pink eye again, darn daycare, Edward is coughing every disease known to man, at least it is helping to build up his immune system. We got the same eye drops as before and Edward should be good to go for daycare Monday. At leaf it happened on a Friday so we have all weekend to get better. Well time to goto bed have to get up early to watch the USA vs Finland game...

Reading

Well Edward has really started to like his books, so much in fact he cleaned off his book shelf in his room looking for a particular book. (His Stars Was ABC book) he even has started to read his books instead if watching videos on his kindle Fire. Well not actually read the books just flip through and look at the pictures.

Great day, talking up a storm

Well Edward is doing so great, he continues to talk up a storm, of course we have no idea what he is trying to say. Well once in awhile we recognize a word or too. He is doing so great with everything. We just can't believe it sometimes.
Oh and he is figuring things, for example he loves walking around with his shopping cart, and he loves to take it out to the garage, however there is a little bump there. So he has figured out if you go out backwards is it easier to get the cart over the bump. Smart boy. He has also figured out what to do when he wants something, ask and then go out and point to it, since we have no idea what he is saying yet.. Well that is it, big day tomorrow, USA hockey plays Czech Republic at 9am PT, GO USA..

Weekend cone to an end, going through Edward's things

Well another long weekend comes to an end. Only 4 more weeks to spring break! Today we had Selena , the former student of mine who is one of Edward's baby sitters , watch him so Melissa and I could go through Edward's old baby clothes , we got rid of a big box but still won't let go if a lot of things, see the picture below of Melissa standing next to the stack of Edward's things. Well time to goto bed, early start tomorrow 

Fun Playdate USA USA USA

Well today we headed to Valencia for a playdate with Dillion White, son of a friend of ours that we both taught with at New Vista. (I still teach with her). The boys got along so great. Edward tried to do everything Dillion did, Dillion is just over a year older than Edward. They played in the park together, at Dillion house, and Dillion even showed Edward how to jump on his bed. Happy Valentine's day

Just a quick note to wish everyone happy Valentine's day from Edward aka the Heart Breaker.. See below... Tomorrow we are off on a play date with Dillion White in Valencia, and of course Edward and I are going to get up early to watch Team USA play Russia in Men's hockey... USA USA USA..

Oh the game starts at 4:30 pm Sochi Time, which is 4:30 am Pacific time.. Oh boy got to get to bed.. Goodnight.

USA USA

Well Edward and I got up at around 5am to watch the USA Men's hockey team take on Slovakia . Boy was it ever worth it, we won 7-1. And to celebrate Edward wore is Miracle on ice jersey to daycare. (From the 1980 Olympics in Lake Placid NY , the last time the USA Men's hockey team won Gold). See picture below. Edward and I need to rest up since Saturday morning at 4:30 we are taking on Russia. Go USA...

Oh and Edward also face timed with his Grandpa Day, since the 13th was his birthday...

Great OT Session

Edward had one of his best OT sessions ever tonight. He did everything she wanted him to do and more. He stacked 6 boxes on top of each other, copied a block train she made, and even went through a mini obstacle course she set up. It was so exciting we just cheered him on and cried a little as our little boy is getting so big. Off to get taxes done and Edward says hi

Well tonight we went to get our taxes done, and Edward got a chance to say hi to our tax lady, who had babies in the NICU in lancaster 29 years ago. Her babies were actually some of the first babies that Dr. Tangaval, the doctor who saved Edward's life, took care of. She was so happy to finally meet Edward, below is a picture of the two of them chatting after our taxes were done..

Great Doctor's visit, updated website

So we went back to Edward's Pediatric doctor today for a follow up to Edward's hospitalization. The doctor said that Edward sounded really clear and told us to continue to do the breathing steroids twice a day until flu season is over (Late March). We are hoping that this will keep us out of the hospital. We were only doing them once prior to the last hospitalization. During the appointment today, Edward discovered that if he stood on the exam table he could play with the doctor's blinds, see picture below.

Great Week, Teeth brushing

Well thanks to Edward's former daycare teacher, who watched Edward Wed-Fri, Edward seems to be back to normal. He just loves all the attention. Mommy even bought Edward a step so that he can watch himself in the mirror brush his teeth.
Tomorrow Edward heads back to daycare, and I am sure he won't like returning, since he has had a lot of 1 on 1 care the past week.

First day back

Well first day back for me at school since the long weekend! It was sad not to spend time with Edward but I only have 4 sick days left :( 

We had Edward's old daycare teacher, Amanda watch him. She is such a great baby sitter and Edward loves her so much. He gues right to her and cries when she leaves. Below is Edward is the tube, Amanda gave him a bath today. 

One Last day together, Bear Hunt

Well Edward and I spent one last day together. What fun we had, we both got so tired we took a nap side by side at 11:30-1:30. We even went on a bear hunt together (The new song that Edward has been learning at daycare). I video taped it, the link to the video is below.
When Mom got home, Edward decided it was time to go shopping with his chart, however the item he put in the chart would be hard to scan or even get a price check.(See picture below) Well I am very tired and back to work tomorrow. Goodnight

We are home

KWell after a long weekend at AV hospital Edward finally is home and on no oxygen. This morning when Edward's doctor came in he said, "I heard you have been running up and down the halls of the hospital (true by the way), and he said I think it is time to go home!!!! So we are home. I made Edward some Mac and cheese and we played a little. Finally we took a nap together since I have not slept  well at all this weekend. Well Edward is still napping, he didn't sleep really well at the hospital either. Thank you to everyone  for your support. 

Roller coaster day.

Well I am writing this so late for reason you will see soon. 

Today has been on crazy day. It all started with Edwarf and I going to the FTC robotic competition across the street. I had former students in the competition. (See picture below)

After that we came home and cleaned a little , because Edward's NICU buddy AJ came for dinner, see picture below of the two of them playing. 

After his two hour play date we cleaned up and got ready for bed only to notice that Edward's breathing did not seem right. So off to the ER we went. Melissa is over there with Edward currently as we are being admitted, I came home to try and get some sleep so I can relieve her in the morning. Edward is doing good considering. He had a cheese puff party in ER and when I left he was having a strawberry star party... On a side note AJ's parents texted us after we told them about Edward and told us that he is sick too..oh no!!!! Below is a picture of "sick Edward" eating cheese puffs at the ER...
