First great day back

Well everyone had a great first day of school. Edward was so happy to go back to day care, that he went running right in and went right to one of his teachers and gave them a hug. he even had a big smile on his face when I picked him up. We were so happy to see him so happy. Well that is the end of day one, only 48 more days till the end of the school year, not that I am counting or anything....

Vacation comes to an end

Well our 2 week spring break ends tonight, tomorrow we are back on our normal schedule. We have really enjoyed spending time together as our little family. Edward did have visitors this weekend, as Melissa's mom's friend who lives in Arizona during the winter and NY during the summer, back her yearly visit to Lancaster to see us and her. Today as we were playing in Edward bedroom I look over and saw his height chart, below is a picture of it, boy has he grown a lot since july 2013, when I checked his height last. Well time to go to bed, goodnight.

One last weekend

Well after a long and tiring 2 weeks, we have one final weekend to enjoy with eachother before heading back to school. Edward is doing so great, just too bad he had to wait until the weekend before break to get healthy 100%. Oh well that is life, we got a chance to spent time together not in the hospital and that is not too bad.

Cleared for Takeoff / Left or right handed?

Well first, Edward continues to improve, we are thankful that he decided to get sick while we were off. Edward sure is eating a lot, for example, today he ate 4 pieces of Turkey and a full serving of Mac and Cheese. See picture below.

Great follow up but then.....

Well Edward had a great flow up with his regular doctor today. SO2 level back to the mid 90s. Thank goodness, however he is still really stuffed up so we asked Dr. Edarlin if we should go back to the Allegry do tor we saw before, and he said it would not hurt. Well when he looked at Edward's sinuses he told us they are very infected, which means Edward probably had a sinus infection this whole time, going all the way back to November. He put us on a strong antibiotic and told us to come back in 10 days to back sure it is working. He also told us that there is a chance that his adenoids, which he had removed last summer, which have grown back! If so we would have to have them removed again!!!!! He says it happens with about 10% of the kids out there! We couldn't believe it. He also said it might just be an infection that will go away and not come back. We should know something in 10 days. We will keep everyone posted . Well goodnight 

Super Edward

Well Erward's SO2 numbers continue to improve, we are hopeful that by Thursday he might be back to "normal ", but only time and lots of medicine and breathing treatments well tell. This is not exactly how we envisioned spending spring break, but we are happy to be spending time together at our house and not the hospital .

Our little super hero

Our little super hero is getting better, a little . His SO2 was 92-93 today when we checked it, which is better than it has been. We marked the occasion by putting him in his batman attire. We are keeping our fingers crossed that he continues to improve. Good night 

Fun Day

Well we had another fun day with Edward. Mommy and Edward did some dancing, to several songs. One I got on tape was "If you are Happy and you Know it" there is a link here for the video, I love when Edward screams Hurray, here is the Link to the Video :http://youtu.be/voG5EGt6w4A

Edward also brought his car inside and did a little riding around, since he can't go outside, check out the picture below of Edward eating ice cream in his car.... Well We hoping to see some major improvements in the next few days, the doctor is just telling us to be patient.

Air Show, this is how we are spending spring break

Well, for LA county air show started today, but since Edward is unable to go outside, we took a car ride up to a spot near the airport, stayed in the car and watched the Blue Angels. See pictures below of Edward reaction to the airplanes and one of the pictures I got of th jets, all from the front seat of the car.
Tonight, mommy had me take a picture of how we are spending spring break with Edward, inside and  he seems to be loving it.. Well goodnight, Edward is still the same, which is not a bad thing, at least he is not getting any worse..

Edward update

Well Edward is slowly getting better. We went back to see the doctor today, he was not too worried as this type of infection usually takes about 7-10 days to clear his system. He did give us a stringer steroid to give Edward to try and help clear out the infection. But as many if you can probably already guess we have cancelled our family vacation for next week. We still plan on going somewhere for the day, maybe the zoo, but we have to wait until Edward is back to 100%. 

Edward Update

Well Edward continues to slowly get better, we are hopeful that by the end of the week he will be back to his normal self, however if you didn't know he was sick you would never know it by the way he is acting. He is eating lots of food, drinking lots of milk and playing hard all day long. If his SO2 level would only get back to the mid to upper 90 we would be good, currently it is about 92-93 during the day and 90 at night when he is sleeping.
We appreciate all the positive thoughts and prayers everyone is sending his way.. Well time to get ready for the last breathing treatment and then bed for me.

Edward sick , trio to LA cancelled

Well Edward has another respiratory viral infection, not as bad as the past thank goodness. We didn't have to goto the hospital, however we are on breathing treatments every 3 hours for the next 10 days or so. At least Edward waited until spring break to get sick . 

Since Edward is sick, we cancelled our Pre Op trip to LA, since we would have failed anyway. Well we hope Edward is over this in the next few days but only time will tell . 

Here is Edward in his St Patrick day shirt, we are hoping for some Irish luck. 

FYI- today marks the 3 year anniversary of when we had the last treatment done resulting in the pregnancy with Edward and William. We think that Edward is actually "3" today. 

Shopping, playing , and off to LA

Well today Edward had a busy day. He went to Trade Joes to go shopping, see picture below of Edward shopping with his own cart. Then Edward went to uncle Hank's to help celebrate his birthday and hang out with his buddy Luke. See picture below. After a wild time playing, we returned home and are ready to goto bed in preparations for out Pre Op at LA Children's hospital in preparation for Edward's ABR on Monday. Look for a blog update from LA tomorrow. Last time we went for the Pre Op Edward failed due to his stuffy noise.... ( That is actually what they told us) . Oh well .

Let vacation begin

Well let our 2 week vacation begin, and of course let Edward's two week break from daycare begin. Tonight we celebrated by getting KFC, after a 1 1/2 mile family walk and concluded with Mommy chasing Edward all over the house..We are so excited to spend 2 weeks with Edward!!!!

Family walk

Tonight we went on a family walk, see picture below. Edward was so excited to be out in his wagon he kept moving from the front to the back seats, so he could see everything. Usually when we go for a walk we take his red car but we decided to change it up this time. 

Tomorrow is our last day of school til March 31st!!!!! Hurray , family vacation here we come !!!!! You will have to wait until the second week of vacation to see were we are headed for 4 days!!!!

Super Edward

Well at OT therapy tonight Edward went on the swing, on his stomach and then swang like a super hero, see picture below. I also uploaded a video of it on his you tube channel. 

Edward also sat at the table like a big boy and did some painting and art work at OT, boy is he ever growing up too fast!!

Dance before bed

Well Edward had to do it nightly facing with mom and dad. Before he goes to bed every night he has to dance, which is find with us since it wears him out. 

He is so funny, if the song gets too slow he tells us to change it.

Great weekend

Well today we took Edward to the almond festival in Quartz Hill, about 5 miles from our house. It is a small festival with venders and a few rides. He plAyed on the play ground at the festival , they have it in a city park, and he even went on the truck ride with mommy see pictures below. You will see a picture of mommy trying to get in the cab with Edward put it was a little small.... Oh well we had a blast anyway. 

Edward eats at table

Well we got Edward a new chair so he can sit at the table with us not away from it in his booster/high chair. See picture below . 

Had a fun boys day with Edward as mommy went to the spa with her best friend for a birthday present, I guess the spa is outside and since it rained last weekend they had to bump the trip to this weekend. No big deal for us Day boys. Edward and I played and just hung out together and had a ball.... Well goodnight have to get to bed a little earlier since we are pushing the clocks ahead a hour tonight :( I hate day light saving time, I think we need to move to Arizona, they don't ever change their clocks. 

Edward at happy hour

Well Edward went to happy hour at Chilli's tonight with mom while I was at class. I guess he loved it, see picture below. Melissa texted me the picture and I told her to make sure he doesn't drink and drive as everyone knows that Edward is a big milk drinker. Well last day of the work week for us tomorrow and only 6 more school days to break and only 58 days left in the year in total (school days, not that I am counting or anything)! 

Great OT session

Edward had a great OT session tonight . His therapist even had him start to practice winging a bat at a ball on a string. Watch out, if you come to our house you might want to wear a helment... See picture below of Edward trying his best to hit the ball.... Goodnight everyone 

Dad sick Edward fine

Well I have been sick for the past few days which is why their has been no blog. Now to update you . Edward can identify letters if you hold them up to him while he is in the tub. I will try and get a video of this tomorrow. He does not know all the letters but a few, I would say about 10-14. He knows the sounds too! 

Edward and I went to his doctor yesterday to get clearance for him to try and finish his hearing test to we could see if he might need hearing aids. Everything went well at the visit. The weighed him and measured his height. He is now..... Drum roll.........

25 pounds 12 ounces and his height is 36 inches or exactly 3 feet... It is hard to believe that he is 3 times the size he was when he was born ... And I over 25 times his weight......

Great Birthday for mommy, surprise coming

Well mommy had a great birthday today. We went to Walmart then mommy went with friends to a movie and later we went out to eat at a new Italian Restaurant. Edward was so good at everything. What a great birthday for mom..
