Happy Halloween....

Well Edward celebrated his 4th halloween.... This year he was Spiderman... And he looked so cute.. He even decided to hand out candy with mommy tonight, it was so cute.. He even sampled the candy.. and he loved it, and went a little crazy from the sugar, see the pictures below...

We also went to the NICU to deliver cup cakes to the families and went to see Grandma and the nursing home... What a busy nigh it was....

Halloween is almost here

Well Halloween is tomorrow so we spent the night carving our family pumpkin with Edward. He loved to touch the texture of the inside, however he was not very helpful when we were trying to take all the seeds out. See Edward thought they needed to go back in, so he kept putting them back in, it was actually very funny... Lots of places to take him tomorrow for Halloween.... But you will have to wait till tomorrow night to see where.....??

Halloween is almost here

Well Halloween is almost here and that means Edward's yearly Harvest Parry at school. They actually had the party today, below are a few pictures of Edward sporting his Halloween shirt, he is so darn cute. 

Edward was so excited to show me what he got from school, when is walked in the back door he ran aroundthe corner, down the hall and said, daddy look!! It was so cute....

We took Edward outside today after school so he could play. play play. Tonight, when Melissa was putting Edward to bed, right before he went to sleep he said " Mommy, I love you" She started to cry..... As you can imagine...

Fun at the Circus

Well we took Edward to his first circus today, and he just loved it!!! He could not get enough of everything, he clapped and interacted with all the acts, we were so proud of him and could hardly believe it. I took some video and will upload it tomorrow night.

Edward also went trick or treating at church today, well after church. It is called trunk or treat. You may be wondering what Edward is going as for Halloween, well see the pictures below fro yourself...

Dance, Dance , Dance

Well we are home safely. Edward sure loves being home, so much that he just started dancing to his favorite Mickey song out of the blue, it was very funny, and yes I taped it, see links below to the videos, he sure is a good dancer!!!!

In Palm Springs

Well we are in Palm Springs with Edward for the yearly CMC South Math conference. We are so excited to be here, with a healthy Edward. Last year we were suppose to go but that is when Edward started to get sick and ended up in the hospital 2 weeks later. Keeping our fingers crossed.
Edward is just loving it here, last night we took him over to get our badges for the conference and he was so excited to just walk around. Today, while I went to the morning sessions (I am going to the morning sessions, and Melissa is going to the afternoon sessions, that way someone is available to play with Edward. Well as I was saying, this morning while I was at my session, Edward and Melissa went to the local toy store, I guess as soon as they got in it, Edward said "mommy down play", he was in the stroller and wanted to get out and play with the trains, see a few pictures below of Edward playing in the toy store and Edward checking in at the conference... Prayers, go Edward go

Well I just want to take a minute to ask everyone to say a prayer or two for our friends to the North (Canada as they deal with a shooting at there parliament today)

Today at speech therapy Edward is.... well doing so well. For example, him and his therapist were reading the book, that goes something like, there were 10 little bears sleeping in a bed, the little one said, roll over, roll over, so they all rolled over and one fell out, there were 9......... and it continues on until there is  one, well when they got to 4, and one roll  fell out Edward said, good night, and brought his hands up to his face, like he was going to sleep, we all laughed and so did Edward....

Then when we got to the last page there is a huge pop up bed that comes out, and Edward said, "wow, cool bed", we could not believe what we just heard!!!!!

His therapist keeps telling us that she is amazed about how well and fast he is catching up, watch out Grandma and Grandpa Day, by the time we get to your house in March, he is going to talking a mile a minute.....

The Hero

Well when ever you pick Edward up at daycare you are a hero to him. Don't get me wrong, he loves his class, but he loves to come home even more. Today when I picked him up,  he was paying chase with riding cars. His GF Iris was in front and he was actually riding a car really fact after her, that was until Iris saw me and said. "Edward daddy here". When Edward hears that, he stops, looks up and comes running, and gives you the biggest hug... I just love picking him up.... Oh Edward and Iris play a lot together at daycare, although when she came to his birthday party they hardly said or interacted at all with each other.... Must have forgotten who each other was during the summer...

Good news I guess

Well Edward went back to the allergist again since his sinus have never cleared up and he has his sinus infection back. The doctor thinks that is what might have caused the fever. So I guess the good news out of this is we are back on medicine for ten days and then go back to see him again. At least we know and we are trying to treat it ASAP, before who knows what...

When we went to CVS Edward decided out of the blue that he was going to push the big cart, it was really funny, wish I had gotten a picture, forgot my iphone at home......

Inside

Well we were suppose to go to a "fun and secret" location this weekend, but then on Friday night Edward go a fever of 101, and had a restless night sleeping, so we decided to just keep him inside this weekend and hope that he would get better. Well the good news is he seems to be back to normal, no fever last night and he is running around the house and making a big mess. We are still staying home today, even though he is probably ok, since we have a busy week coming up and we need him to stay healthy. Below are a few pictures Melissa took of Edward and I reading to each other. Who said you can have fun just staying inside and playing.

Chalk

Edward sure loves his side walk chalk. Whenever we take him outside he either runs for the chalk it to go swinging. Today he got a little too many ch into his chalk and well his pants show it, oh well it will wash off. 

Sorry about not blogging a lot this week, we have been busy trying to get ready for parent conferences and dealing with trying to learn our new grading program. Oh well that is life. Wait til you see where Edward is off to this weekend (Sunday to be exact), and no not legoland.... 

Edward the climber

Well Edward can get just about anywhere now. He is a really good climber and an even better problem solver. He seems to be able to figure out just about anything. Tonight on the may to speech therapy, well actually before we even got started he climbed in my car by himself for the first time. Cheese, decorating more

Well today Grandma Campbell came over and Edward showed her his decorating. He also built a ginger bread haunted house with her, see picture below. I have some more I will get off the bigger camera tomorrow. After he got done decorating Edward and I headed outside so mommy could make dinner. Edward went right to his new swing, he loves it. I was going to take a video of him saying more daddy, which he does on the swing. However this time, as soon as I turned on the video camera he started to say CHEESE. I guess he thought I was going to take a picture, it is so funny, below is a link to that video, he is so darn cute.. AND BIG... Hockey is here

Well on Saturday night we, myself, my friend Hank and Edward celebrated the start of the 2014-2015 NHL season by watching the first Hoxkey Night in Canada broadcast on satellite. HNIC, which its appreciation, is huge in Canada and were I went to college And I try to watch it whenever I can. Edward made it through 1/2 the first period  before he got bored and we started playing trucks. Below is a picture of Edward kicking back and watching hockey from his own chair!!! 

Off on another adventure

Well tonight we took Edward on another adventure. Tonight he went on to another pumpkin patch. We have a local pumpkin patch and we took him there with his buddy Luke. He just loved it.... Left Handed???

Well Edward had his school district OT assessment tonight and the OT therapist, who Melissa knows of from Lancaster School District and says is really good and knows her stuff, stated that Edward is much stronger with is Left hand and that when Edward went to hold a crayon, he can hold it correctly in the Left hand and has no idea how to hold it with the right hand. She is almost 100% sure Edward will turn out the be left handed!!!! Time of course will tell, but she is almost certain. I guess that explains why Edward was trying to bat left handed outside and tends to throw more things with his left hand then his right hand.... Wonder who he gets this from, since we are both Right handed and the only one we can think of in the family that is a little left handed is Melissa's brother. He writes with his right hand and does all sports with his left hand....

Catch, dancing....

Well tonight during speech therapy, which is going great by the way, Edward started to play catch, well his version I guess. He throws the ball to you, says up really high he tries not to catch it and just laughs as it lands... I took a picture of him playing it. He played it with both of us...
Later when it was almost time for bed he decided it was time to dance to his favorite song.. Anyone have a guess as to what song it is... Getting ready for halloween and news about daddy

Well tonight while I was at bell choir and voice choir practice at church, Edward and mommy decided to get ready for halloween. They decorated everywhere, they even got out decorations we have not used in a few years. Melissa said that Edward had so much fun, sorry no pictures as mommy was more into decorating with Edward than taking pictures.

Ok, now news about me, usually I don't post or write about myself however yesterday I got some interesting news. I went to the same Allergy Doctor that Edward goes to, as I thought it was about time to have some allergy testing since I seem to be allergic to at least Cats and grass. Well the doctor looked up my noise and told me I am so stuffed up that he thinks I am allergic to a lot of stuff.. Oh and that was not the worse news, he also gave me an asthma test, and guess what I have really bad asthma too... He put me on a steroid and wants me to come back in a week to see if my lung functions have gotten any better... Oh I am starting to fall apart....

New reading spot, web site fixed

Well Edward found a new reading spot, I guess it is better than the frig! He stayed there for almost a hour reading books. He sure does love books! His speech therapist has also started to do books with him. She is just amazed at how long he will sit in a chair and look at books..

Note: don't download a beta version of an operating system for a computer and exept it to work correctly, I recently downloaded OSX 10.10 Yosemite, which is still in beta testing (I am one of the beta testers) and it took me awhile to get iPhoto (the photo program I run) to behave correctly with the new operating system. Lesson learned 

Fun Day

We had a great day with Edward in Fillmore CA. We took him, once again, to ride the Pumpkin Liner. We had a blast. Time to decorate and left handed?

Well tonight Edward and mommy started to decorate for halloween, see pictures below. Edward loved to stick the decorations to the window.
After that, mommy and Edward went outside to play some baseball, and Edward is of course able to swing and hit the ball off the tee. However, to our surprise he has decided, on his own, to swing left handed... Weird, I guess, but he chose it.... See pictures below

Ham and Eggs?

Well I guess Edward was so hungry this morning that mommy made him some eggs and bacon. No kidding see pictures below. I guess he loved the ham and was not sure about the eggs, but we will keep trying to give him eggs... What a grown up boy Edward is becoming, were did our little boy go?
