Fun Day

This weekend we had visitors from Arizona, as Melissa mom's BF from high school made her yearly visit to CA to see her. Melissa's mom's friend's daughter lives in Arizona and she spends the winter months there and the summer months back in NY.
Today we went to the mall for Melissa's B_Day lunch and then they all came back to our house for dinner and some entertainment thanks to Edward. Below is a picture of Edward standing on his head during his show he put on, and below is a video of Edward hopping for everyone like a frog...

Edward goes to school

Well tonight Edward went to mommy's school to see her and help with the Black History month performance the kids were putting on tonight. He just loved hanging out in mommy's room. There was so much to do, see pictures below. He even helped walk the classes down to the cafeteria for the assembly.... He just loved hanging out with all the big kids.....

Edward get a hair cut and rides a car

Well tonight (Thursday), we took Edward to get his hair cut, well the whole family actually got hair cuts. Edward looks so handsome when he gets his car cut, he is the cutest little boy. Don't get me wrong he is sure cute all the time but their is just something about him after a hair cut, he seems to glow... People tell us he should be in commercials.....

After the hair cut we took him to the riding toys in the mall for a treat, he loved them all, he went on a old fashion car, a roller coaster simulator, that he loved by the way, and he drove a hot dog truck, check out some pictures below...

Edward cleans

Well lately when Edward is drawing on his blackboard in the kitchen, when he needs more space to draw, he simply erases it. Yes you read it right, he just takes the eraser and uses it. Not sure how he figured it out but he did! Below are a few pictures, I actually could not believe my eyes! 

Nightly tradition

Well Edward has a nightly tradition, after his bath, that he loves to take by the way, he gets dressed and then signs Ring around the Rosey while standing on our bed and yes he falls down when he sings "they all fall down".

Inside, Edward discovers

Well we spent Sunday inside as we are finally getting some colder weather and some rain too. So we got out toys that Edward has not played with or used in awhile. On such toy is a RC car he got a few years ago that he didn't show any interest in, probably because he could not figure it out. Well flash forward to yesterday (Sunday), we took it out showed him how to use it and he was off, he didn't fully understand the steering thing but could he make it go fast straight. Fun Time

Edward had such a fun time today. His buddy AJ came over for a picnic and to play with Edward. They just love to play together when they are not getting into trouble. (One funny story is one of them was throwing legos in the living room so Melissa went in there and Edward pointed to AJ and he said sorry.) Special guest

Today during robotics I had a special

Surprise visitor... You can probably guess who!!! Melissa brought Edward over for a visit and he just loves seeing what the kids were doing and he even played ball with the kids. We have a few small plastic balls we use to complete the Lego game we are running. So he felt right at home, he grabbed one and started playing caught with a few of the kids! He just loved the attention. Below are a few pictures of his visit today, the last one is him with the robotic team! 

Edward the mail man

Well tonight when I got home from picking Edward up, I asked him if he wanted to help daddy. He of course said yes so he helped me with the trash cans and the mail too. He was being so helpful he asked if he could carry the mail, well he asked in Edward way, saying Edward's turn. I gave it to him and took this picture.  He is helpful when he wants to be!!!!

Edward's Office

So Edward has a little office he likes to work in, below you will see a picture of him working at it. It is so funny, he would sit there all dad if you let him. What is he working on you ask, well letters of course... Yesterday for the first time we spelled out mom on the board, and he said M O M mom. He actually read a word for the first time, it was so amazing!!!

Fun Weekend comes to an end

Well our long weekend comes to an end. Yesterday we were looking to take Edward to Apollo park, a cont park just north of Lancaster and as we were leaving we asked him what he wanted to take and he said, I want AJ, his buddy from the NICU. We called to see if they wanted to meet us, but they had family over but invited over too. So we took them up on it since Edward really wanted to see AJ again. When we got there, AJ really wanted Edward to try out the trampoline but Edward was not sure. Finally Melissa decided to go in with him and guess what, he loved it so much we could not get him out of it, below are a few pictures of him having a great time..... Happy Valentine's Day

Well we had a great Valentine's day today...Maybe the best ever. We spent most of the day over at our friend's house (Barbara Leonard a teacher whom I use to teach with). She has lots of animals and did Edward ever have a blast. He rode her horse, helped feed the horses, drove the tractor and helped gather eggs from her chickens. Edward and AJ

Edward went over to his buddy's house for his mom's, brother's and grandfather's birthday celebration on Friday. The only thing is he could care less. Edward and AJ just played and played , it was hard to remember that they both were, at one time, in the NICU together on life support. But there they were over 3 years later playing chalk, chasing after each other and playing there own version of basketball. It made us cry tears of joy and sadness, as we thought about how Edward and William might of played together......

Letters letters everywhere

Sorry I am a day late on this entry. On Wednesday at speech therapy his therapist had him drawing with markers trying to make shapes and such. Then we started saying letters and guess what he started doing? You guessed it, making letters all on his own , below are a few pictures of what he was able to make! You can probably make out a b c and d, the second page we think is a j, he kept saying, we think, I will draw a j.... 

Watching his train

One of Edward most favorite things is to sit on the floor and just watch his Duplo Lego Train go around and around. He just lives resins, just like his dad does. It is so funny to watch, he even makes train noises once and awhile..... 

Fun day

We had a fun day, which Edward spent mostly outside. His buddy Luke came over for lunch to to play in his swing set and boy did the 2 boys ever have fun. They took turns swinging, going up on the 2nd level of the swing set and playing with chalk, Edward played so hard he took a 1.5 hour nap. Edward even decided to mow the lawn a little see picture below. Short week coming up, we have next Friday and Monday off for president's day! 

Big Helper

Well Edward is such a good helper, today we took him grocery shopping at Walmart and he loves to go shopping. He follows us around and then when we find something we want, we give it to him and he puts it in the basket for us, and then claps, he just loves to help. Letters

We worked on letters tonight and this is what he can do on his own (write) O N AND NOT SURE MAYBE W. 

He is really interested in trying to write letters, if you are not aware he loves letters and always wants us to draw them and points them out wherever we go. (His speech therapist thinks he will be an earlier reader since he loves letters so much)

Smile and swing

Well Edward loves 2 things lately, swinging on his big boy swing and laughing and smiling while doing it. He is honestly the happiest boy I know.... He smiles whenever you tell him and is just so happy whenever he is outside playing, I seriously think that he would live outside if we let him. Below is a great picture I got today while we were outside playing after school.

Lego Tablee

Well tonight Edward sat down at his Lego table to play and we could not believe how big he is getting, below are a few pictures, he actually touches the ground. He just seems to have gotten bigger over night.
