Finally

We have been waiting to have a "mini" conversation with Edward. That is ask him questions about how his day at school was and have him answer... Well finally he is starting to communicate things he does at school... What a relief. Today I asked him what he did at school, he told me he , played outside, then I asked him what else, he said something that sounded like play ball outside, and asked him if he did anything else and he said, I ride a bike too. I was so happy I started to cry a little. He even knows how to get home from school! He will actually tell you the correct direction to go and when he sees his house, he says, I live here! 

So proud of you little buddy! 

Fun weekend

What a fun and busy weekend we had, and yet we managed to take Edward to yet another baseball game!!!

Oh I failed to mention in the blog last week that we took Edward to the fair on Wednesday and let him pick out a toy to take home.. Guess what he picked.... Well you can see for yourself below 

Another Friday another.....

Well with the end of the week, Edward decided he wanted to goto another baseball game.... Boy does he ever love his baseball... Below is a picture of him I tired ringer in front of the baseball game. We think it might be cheaper just to get 1/2 season ticket next year, with as many games we have gone too ... But he loves it so much, so we don't mind....

Tough day

Tough day for us as we remembered Edward's brother with a moment of silence at 2:50pm (the time he passed away). It was extra special picking Edward up today, as I really needed that big hug he always gives me. 

After school we had dinner and then went to Edward's favorite place in the world to go, and I can imagine that it probably would have been William's too. Where is his favorite place? Well at the baseball game of course. He is so funny when he is at the game, he will play with you during the time between innings but as soon as they start, he gets very serious and you have to leave him alone so he can watch the game! He is so funny and cute...

A day to remember

4 years ago tomorrow (August 25th) Our little angel left us for heaven.. RIP William Kenneth Day... We love you so much...

It is the one sad day of the year for the 3 of us...

Fun night

Well in celebration of the end of another week we took Edward to Chuck E Cheese, then The Yogurt Shop and finally to Krisp E Cream... I think Edward might be working at Krisp E Cream now! See pictures below! His friend in the picture is Lily... Edward just lives her!!!!

One final birthday present

Edward got one final b-day present today from his god mother, Diane Nagy. He got Magna-Tiles. He loves them and so do we, very adoptive!!! See picture below....

Great report from Doctor

Edward had his four year old check up on Tuesday and the doctor was very pleased with Edward overall health. He even told us that Edward is now in the 50th percentile for both height and weight. Oh his new height is 40 inches and weight is 35 1/2 pounds! FYI- if he was born in December when he was actually due, he would be in the 75th percentile! Doctor is guessing that Edward will be around 6 feet when he is all done growing! Oh boy has Edward come so far in 4 years!

A More Restful Day

Today Edward and Greg slept in until 9:30. Edward went to the mall with Mommy to pick up his 4 year old birthday pictures from JCPenny. Hard to believe that Edward is turning 4 in just six days. He got to have lunch at the mall and go for a pony ride before leaving mall. He was one happy boy! We had a homemade taco dinner with Grandma tonight. She was happy to see us! Also, check out the new pajamas from Uncle Gary and Aunt Kim!

Busy Saturday

We had a busy Saturday. We started by going to Valencia for Dillion White's birthday, see picture below. Then we drove back to Lancaster. Edward then had speech at 2pm! After that we headed to the dog park for a Geometry reunion with some of my former students. After that we headed home, had a quick dinner and head to a dance show staring Edward's friend Lillian. Edward just loved all the music and dancing. After that we came home, and went to bed, well they did I am up trying to repair a bad OS install on my MacBook. FYI- there will not be a web site update until I get my MacBook working again. I hope to have it done by morning! Need the computer for the first day of school on Monday! 

Ball game to support CHP

Tonight we took Edward to the baseball game to help support the CHP (California Highway Patrol), AJ's dad works for the CHP. 

Edward and AJ we unsperabable tonight! They gave each other a huge hug we the saw each other and spent the night going on bounce items they have for the kids to play on! Edward really surprised us! He went in the bounce house, through the maze and even down the BIG slide! He amazes us everyday! 

Edward's first day back!

Well Edward headed back to daycare today as me and Melissa prepare for another school year. He did ok, not great and not bad at the drop off and did we ever get a surprise when we picked him up. He pee peed on the toilet!!!! First day!!! We are so excited and proud of him! He even got a prize for doing it . What did he pick you ask, was it the play cars or the Spider-Man Action figure ? Oh no , he picks a book with Olaf on the cover. Who is Olaf you ask? Watch the movie Frozen, he is the talking snowman!

Helping in Mommy's Classroom & Daddy's Birthday

Edward was very helpful in my classroom on Friday morning! He ate his breakfast in the little red chairs, colored, played with his train & watched a science movie. He was such a good boy that I got 3 hours of work done! On Saturday we celebrated Daddy's birthday! We made him breakfast, went out to the movies (Selena watched Edward :>), went out to dinner with Natalie & Hank & came home with them for homemade marble cake that Mommy made. Edward was very helpful in blowing out the candles!
