Super fun weekend

Fun day in Fresno

We had such a great time today in Fresno. Edward too everyone to the park to play soccer then home to ride his bike around a bike Path at his Aunt and Uncle's house and finally we went to a minor league baseball game in Fresno (AAA). Same thing every morning

Almost everyday before Edward goes to school he wants a potato. This means he wants to goto Mcdonalds and get a hash brown. He is so happy when he gets it! Below is a picture of Edward and his potato! He is so happy.

Big boy potty

Well it finally happened... Edward used the potty at daycare and got his prize he has had his eye on for months... Hopefully this starts a run of several days... Checking our fingers crossed for the big break through to happen!?! Below is a picture his teacher took of him with his prize he has wanted forever!!!

NICU visits

On Sunday we took Edward down to the NICU reunion at Cedar Sinai in LA. It is a yearly event that we want to start going to annually. It is important for Edward to understand everything about us rough start. Each year they take your family photo for free, below is that picture. Also this year the local NBC station was there and we also made it on TV, if you look in the lower left you will see our stroller, we were up doing activities they have for all the kids at the time. 

On the way home we decided it would be nice to visit the AV NICU too. We didn't get a chance to see Dr. T, he was working and busy but we did get to see almost every daytime nurse that helped Edward live. One of them said, "This is why we do what we do", referring to seeing how great Edward is doing! Didn't get any pictures, just enjoyed the moment! 

Soccer and bike

Edward had his 4th soccer game today and did great. I uploaded all the photos to the photo albums on edwardday.com so go check them out. They are in the soccer 2016 and May 2016 photo albums. Below is a sample . 

Edward also discovered his training wheel bike today and ride it for a long time. He just loves it. Melissa went riding with him while I watched him and took video. Below are links to 2 videos I took. One of Edward by himself and the other of Melissa and Edward riding it. Enjoy .

Great soccer practice

Edward had such a great practice. The coached can't believe how much he has come out of his shell. He just runs and plays with the kids. Oh we all so found out that they have fall soccer too that begins in Aufust. We will be doing that one as well. 

Spring pictures

Well for the first time ever at Edward's school he had spring pictures taken 4 weeks ago and today they came in... Below are the pictures! It is hard to remember Edward as a 23 week old baby with less than a 20% chance of living.... Boy has he came along way.....

Out to another ballgame

We took Edward out to another ball game on Monday. It was 1/2 tickets and they had free t shirt giveaway. They actually had different sizes so we all have matching Jethawk tshirts. Below is a picture of Edward with his baseball hat! 

Fun weekend

We had a fun weekend with Edward. He had a soccer game that went well, then we took him to 2 baseball games. We also finished off the week by going to the city park to play soccer and rude his bike.

Big moment

We had a huge moment in the Day house on Thursday. When Edward got out of the bath and was preparing to get dressed, he stopped ran to find mom and told her, "I want to make the whale tail spin", he then went in and peed in his whale potty ! We were so excited we all started jumping with joy! Edward loved all the attention! Hopefully we are turning a corner when it comes to potty training!

Reading

Edward just loves his letters as many of you may already know. Well he has started to learn some sight words... And can even read some parts of books to us. Especially curious George books... And one Swwet pickle book (Nuts to you Nightgale(. Below is a picture of Edward reading on the way home from school! 

Website Update

Edward has a new game he has invented, other than pumpkin ball. He calls it score. It uses a hockey net and his set of kids golf clubs. I am not sure of the scoring system but I know the object is to hit the golf ball through the net... Fun to play and listen to the scores he gives you and him. He always seems to manage to get a higher score! I love to see the actual rules.....

Sea world

We had a great time at sea world today. I think Edward's favorite part was seeing the Seseame street characters. See some pictures below. After we left Sea World we headed back to Legoland for a few hours so Edward could do the Legoland driving school again!!! I will update edwardday.com when I get back to Lancaster with all the photos from our weekend and Update it with a May 2016 photos.

Fun Day

We had a really fun day today at Legoland. It started out a little wet but the rain stopped and the fun began. Edward went on almost every ride by himself. The cars at Legoland driving school, the train and the jousting horses.. Below is a link to all the fun!!!

Everytime you get off they give the kids a "license" he has 10 of them. (The first time they let him stay on twice since his car's battery was almost dead) See picture below of all the cards he got!!!

We have arrived

We have arrived for our annual Mother's Dayvtrup to Legoland! We got down here at 4, checked in and went tonLegoland for about 20 mins, it closes at 5. Tomorrow we have a full day and Edward is so excited!!!!! Look for full coverage tomorrow night of our visit!

You want to play hockey

With the hockey playoffs here Edward has decided to play hockey inside at night. Oh and yes he is playing hockey left handed. I think he might sleep with his stick tonight. If we could only get him to figure out the skating part. 

Game two

What a great game two of soccer!!! It actually look a little like soccer and Edward actually let go of the coaches hand and played a lot. He even scored a goal!!!!
