Baseball Season comes to a close sort of

Well baseball season for Edward has come to and end, sort of. In little league the top 2 team advance onto the TOC, Tournament of champions, and guess who's team finished first... Edward's team was 14-1-1, yes they had one tie, in little league their is a time limit, so if you are tied then it goes down as a tie. His first tournament game is Saturday but Edward will not be able to attend due tot he fact that we got him concert tickets for Kids Boop 6 months ago and the concert is the same time as the playoff game. So as I said in the subject, it might he might have played his last game with the tigers, time will tell...
For those of you who don't already know, we are headed to the east coast on June 17th for Edward's cousins graduation along with stop in ME , PA and of course NY. We are actually taking Edward to see and old friend we use to teach with that retired to Mane (ME), she has not seen him since he was 3 so we are very excited for her to see him. She is so excited and knows how much Edward loves baseball that she offered to take him to Fenway park to see the Red Sox play! So on June 23rd, we are all headed to Fenway Park in Boston to see the Red Sox play the Blue Jays. Edward is so excited! this will not be Edward's first MLB game, as last season his baseball coach took all the kids to see the Angels play in Anaheim, since they are on the Pony Angles team.. Edward only has 7 more days left of 1st grade before he moves onto 2nd grade... I can not believe how fast time is flying by and how fast he is growing up. I know Melissa will miss having him in her class but she will be just 2 doors down from him next year and she has already handed pick this 2nd grade teacher...

Well more next week, as I play on updating this blog weekly again!!!! I am sure I will have lots to tell you about eh Kids boop concert and if Edward's team won their first playoff game! Have a good week and will write again in Sunday...

A long time coing

Well if anyone is reading this, I apologize for the lack of updates for the past 6 months but if you have been in contact with us you probably know why, but to recap- My mother in law died, we moved into a new beautiful house, our son started playing baseball again and my laptop died.

But to update you on recent news, Edward has been playing baseball for 3 season now, and this current season he has been really wanting to pitch in a real game, and on Saturday he got his wish. The coaches saw how well he would pitching in warm ups and gave in a shot. He was no Kershaw , a player from the Dodgers, but he did really well considering it was his first time and he has never pitched off a mount before. He struck out one batter, gave up 5 walks and 2 runs before the coaches pulled him, I was such proud dad and coach, as I was helloing coach his team on Saturday so I was able to give him a big hug as he came off the field. Below are a few videos that Melissa took of him pitching a a few off the 50 + photos I took of him pitching. The rest of the photos can be found on Edwardday.com, in the May 2019 or baseball 2019 photo album. Enjoy.
