Edward surgery went ok

Well Edward's surgery went fine, recovery well not so much. First they had problems waking him up then he was not sating well with his SO2, alarms keep going off, Melissa and I started to have all kinds of flashbacks to the NICU. I think in the hour it took him to finally wake up I had every emotion I had in 109 days in the NICU. Not to freak anyone out but he was in recovery for a total of about, you guess it 109 minutes.... Isn't that freaky...
Well after everything was said and done, Edward woke up his SO2 improved and we headed home, and he seems to be doing fine.
So that is our very very very long day. I hope you can understand the grammar, I am way too tired to go back and retread it...

Edward goes to a birthday party

Well today we headed down to Valencia for a birthday party after church. It was in a scooter jump something, can't remember old age. Anyway there were 3-4 jump houses and slides for kids to go on, so we took Edward in one of them and had him go down a very small slide by himself. We took a picture which I will try and get uploaded tomorrow.
We have lots to do as we leave for LA tomorrow afternoon in preparations for Edward's outpatient surgery on the 31st. There may be no blog tomorrow night but I will update the blog on Tuesday as a soon as we know how Edward made out. Keep Edward in your thoughts and prayers on Tuesday... Goodnight

Play time with Luke

Well Edward got a chance to play with his BFF Luke today. Edward just sat there and watched Luke and tired to figure out how to do what Luke was doing. (Drawing, running etc) but Edward just could not figure how to move his little body.
Tomorrow Edward is off to a birthday party in Valencia before we leave for his "minor" surgery Monday afternoon. Big day tomorrow so goodnight blog world

Edwards first pool party

Well Edward went to his first pool party tonight and of course he loved it. Boy does he ever love the water... See picture below.
Preparations continue for Edward's first birthday blow out. I am working on his one year movie and Melissa is making lists of everything from guests to food. So if you have not RSVP to mom@edwardday.com please do do ASAP.

We are home

Well we made it home safely! What a great family vacation we had. We are all unpacked and are ready for our next adventure... Edwards surgery next week at LA Children's! Below you will see the picture we had drawn of Edward as a Lego Jedi Knight!!!
