Dancing and to the mall

Well Edward took a trip to the mall tonight after OT therapy. We even took his new wagon along. He just loves riding in it.... See picture below.....Oh he ate mommy chicken for her chicken sandwich and he even got to eat a McDonald;s ice cream cone.

Edward is great

Well Edward is doing so great, tonight we out together an alphabet puzzle with him and he actually can identify over half the letters if we ask him. He also is talking all the time, about what, I have no idea. It must he interesting though because he has a lot to say about it. I can't wait until we can actual understand him. Well we can understand him a little but I can't wait until we know everything he is saying.

Well breaking news. The Day family has booked our airline tickets back to NY to see family this summer. We are leaving CA on June the 20th and returning July 7th. We don't have our actual trip planned out yet, but I am sure it will include a visit with my aunt and uncle in Sloansville, and trip to Onoeta to get some chicken, a visit to Plattsburgh and Potsdam. Just not sure of the order yet... Stay tuned for undated trip info as Edward makes his first Northeast Tour.

New Ride

Well Edward has a new wagon (new ride). We got it for him to take to the festival this past weekend that we didn't goto because of the weather, see pictures below. It even has a roof and folds plat...

Ok, we have an Edward health update. We got the results of his bold work and it showed that he lacks the antibodies to fight off 10 of 14 different common types of cold that effect the respiratory system. So the doctor recommended a shot to help boost his immune system. This is actually good news as if th shot works, and it usually does, then this would help Edward from getting sick all the time during the flu months. The doctor also was shocked to see how cleared up his sinus have become, since we have been giving him some couch medicine that Edward's regular doctor had prescribed for us, this past winter. The medicine is suppose to help clear out your sinus and it does the job for Edward..

Fun weekend, Edward discovers donuts

Well we had a fun weekend, we were hoping to goto the annual poppy festival this past weekend but the weather just didn't cooperate. Saturday is was cold and windy and Sunday it was cold and windy. So we stated in. We did goto grandma's yesterday for dinner and grandma did come over here today to hang out. 

Well before our hang out session with grandma, mommy went and bought donuts and guess who tired one, Edward is his name. I am not sure what he thought of it but it us something new. Oh he tired a glazed donut, one of daddy's favorites. 

After grandma went home we took a family trip to Toys R Us and for the first time ever we just let Edward walk around in the store. He had a blast!!!! Well goodnight 

Edward Edward Edward

Well this morning we tired to feed Edward ceral or anything and he would not eat or take any milk. We got worried but he seemed fine. So Melissa took him to daycare and as soon as he walked in, he went right to the table they gave him a drink and ceral and he started eating like it was not bug deal . I guess he likes the ceral at daycare better. See a picture below of Edward choking down at daycare. Well we hope to goto the Poppy festival this weekend in Lancadter but we are suppose to have rain tomorrow and windy on Sunday, so we shall see...... 

Nanna

Well today after OT we went to Target to get a fees things. Edward just lives to sit in the cart and look around at everything. Well when we were getting reay to pay Edward points and says anna please.... Guess what he was pointing at, the bananas that Target had on rakes by the registers , so Melissa grabbed a bunch, asked the cagier if they were weighed or it was per banana (FYI- it is per), so she ripped one off and gave it to him and before we knew it he had it all gone, and wanted another. Is he a boy or a monkey? Well goodnight 

Edward the theif

Well Edward liked mom's homemade mac and cheese so much that when I heated some up for Melissa and gave it to her on the couch, he ran right over, climbed up on mom and started eating her dinner, when the mac and cheese portion of it.
Also today when I picked Edward up at daycare they were dancing, well Edward and 2 other kids with the teachers, they were learning a new song I guess, Edward seemed to know it already, he just loves his music, he would be glad to put on a show for anyone anytime on FaceTime, just call us and he will show you all his moves. Fun plays date

Well since today was Good Friday and Edward goes to a Christian daycare, his daycare was closed. So Josh White and friend of ours and his wife teaches at my school volunteered to watch Edward and his son Dillion today, since he had the day off and Dillion also goes to Edward's daycare. Dillion in 3. The boys had such a great time, they played so hard they both just feel asleep in the living room while they were playing. Oh and boy did they ever play hard all day. One Very scary day

Well this was the most emotionally draining day we have had since Edward was in the NICU. The day started with Melissa calling Dr. Bakhaya (Edward's Allergist) to get the results of his nasal CAT scan he had done yesterday to see if the adenoids had returned. Well the goodness they are not back the bad news is there is a small chance that Edward might have cystic fibrosis, which is a terminal illness. After Melissa heard that and she called me to tell me, we both lost it. Thankfully we have supportive staff. I later called back the doctor for some clarification on what type of blood work they are going to do on Edward on Monday. I guess he wants to see if there is a problem with his immune system when is comes to his sinuses. Not sure what that means. He also elaborated for me the chances he might have cystic fibrosis. The doctor told me if he did, he would be much sicker and showing other signs as well other than just the sinuses, and he doesn't actually think he has it, but has to eliminate the possibility. After talking to him I felt much better and called Melissa back to relay the news to her, which made her feel better.
After all this, we where just so emotionally drained that we just need some sleep... Well goodnight.

Celebration

Well mommy was recently named Jack Northrop Teacher of the year, so Edward and I took her out to eat, and she choice to goto Marie Calendars. Edward just loves the gobble gobble meal.. He ate 2 whole pieces turkey lots of potatoes and even a big helping of ice cream. See pictures below of Edward eating ice cream from a bowl with a real spoon!!!!! Why is he growing up so fast!!!

Driving Edward will go

Well yesterday (Monday), Edward and I went outside while mom was with grandma in the hospital , and went driving in his red car. I push him up the drive way and then he roll back down to me. He loved it, back and forth back and forth .... I have a video if it I will upload tonight, below are a few picture the video camera took.

First Communion and Play date

Well two big events today,first at church this morning Edward took his first communion. In the Luther Church it is not a huge thing, the pastor asked us when we got to the front of the communion line if he was ready, we said yes, and he gave Edward a wafer, that we then dipped in grape juice, when we got back to sit down he seemed interested in it, licked it a few times and gave it to mommy. Oh well it was worth a shot..
Later in the day, AJ, Edward's NICU buddy came over for a playdate, oh what fun we all had. AJ go so excited to see all of Edward's toys, he thought he was at a toy story. He refused to come to the table , he just want to play play play. Edward ate and AJ played. After he got done playing we all went outside and they had a great time, mommy even took out the water table and the two of them got all wet, so I gave them both of them a bath. Later Edward drove his 4 wheeler out to AJ's car while AJ drove Edward's green car. One busy day

Well we had one busy day, first we went to the Autism Walk in Lancaster then we came home , Edward took a nap and the. We headed to a friend of ours sin's first birthday. Dinner, Ice Cream and GF

Well we took Edward out to a local restaurant called BEX for Pizza and well Mac and cheese, which is his favorite for my the way... He loves it so much that mommy bought him a street saying BFF mac and Cheese, see picture below. After dinner we went out for some frozen yogurt and Edward just had a seat and ate his ice cream all by himself.

Edward is getting so big. I can't believe it, he even comes up to us and tells us when he is has gone number 2, if he would only tell us before hand, oh well...

Oh Edward has also started to walk into day care and go right to the table, because his GF Iris is usually there.. Oh boy, 2 and already has a GF... See picture below of the two of them having breakfast together. (Side note, we actually know Iris's parents, we use to teach with them when we first came out to CA)

Balance beam check

Well tonight at OT Edward just decided it was time to graduate from the balance beam, he needs to be able to walk on the balance beam and place things in a basket. Well check on that. Well I guess next step is to get him to balance on ice skates, but that of course it not part of OT, but I sure wish it was. 

Currently he is swinging on a huge swing see picture below. There are also pictures below of Edward mastering the balance beam.

UCONN UCONN and Edward is a big boy

Well first, no only did the UCONN men win on Monday, Edward and I watched the UCONN women win tonight (Tuesday). We were both so excited!!!! 

Well Edward is getting so big, the morning he kind of carried his back pack out to the car, see picture below. 

Edward has also started sleeping in his bed, all by himself at night, see picture below. Note he has been sleeping in his room for awhile but with us sleeping with him on the floor, but now he sleeping in his bed myself !!!!!

UCONN UCONN

Well Edward and I watched UCONN win the NCAA national championship . It was so cute to watch Edward cheer, he would not everything I did . Jump, cheer  and clap. I do however think Edward's favorite part of the game was the national anthem , we had to watch it like 6 times, he kept asking for more, again please . Very cute, below is a picture of Edward cheering on UCONN!!!!! What a year, UCONN wins the basketball title , the girls go for their title tomorrow night and Clarkson won the NCAA hockey title!!!!

Baseball

Well on Sunday we took Edward to a Jet Hawks baseball game, but we saw it from a very special location, a sky box. Friend's of ours got a sky box for one game to help support autism , as it was autism night at the Hanger. Hunger is what the come stadium of the Jet Hawks is called.
