Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear

Well since the weather has gotten a bite colder, in the low 30s, we have had to resort to making up games to play inside with Edward. One such game is called, Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear... You say Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear and something you want Edward to do like sit down and he always does exactly as you say. It is quite funny.. Oh you will notice in the video that Edward had under pants on, as I told you before we are really trying to hit potty training hard during break......

Snow on he way, funny story

Well we might be getting a snow storm tomorrow night, which is a rare but almost yearly occurrence in Lancaster. We usually get one big snow storm a year, but have not had one since the boys were born. We are excited as we are suppose to get between 2-4 inches and that will probably be enough to build a small snow man with Edward outside, so we are doing a snow dance and hoping that Edward might see his first snow ever.
Oh, now the funny story. I took Edward outside today right before nap time, it has been too cold to take Edward out but we had temps in the high 50s today. So. of course Edward headed right for his red swing, I pushed him and pushed him and he laughed and laughed and talked up a storm, and then all of a sudden he went quite. I got worried so looked and guess what happened! He fell asleep in the swing. He use to fall asleep all the time when he was a baby in the motorized swing in the living room but we never thought that be might just actually fall asleep in his bigger boy swing...

Potty training getting serious

Well for the past 2 days we have gotten really serious about potty training. We put underwear on Edward when he gets up in the morning and we try to get him to understand about using the toilet . The only success so far is that he seems to love sitting on the toilet, the only problem is he likes to sit on it after he already went, but that is at least progress, he never wanted to sit on it before.... We have 2 more weeks to try and figure out this toilet thing.... 

post xmas shopping

We took Edward for some post xmas shopping, first to Toys R Us to spend his gift card from his grand parents then off to best Buy so Daddy could spend his and give some of it to Edward to buy a few Mickey Mouse videos, oh by the way Edward loves Mickey Mouse. Then finally to Smart and Final, a grocery store chain, to buy Edward some milk and pop sickles, as Edward calls them. He begged for a red one and we had to wait to buy them before we could open them up....Below is a picture of what Edward got with his gift card and Edward at Smart and Final with mommy....

Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Xmas. Family has arrived safely, lights done

Our family has arrived safely from Fresno, Edward was so excited to see them! 

Edward had to show off his Xmas lights, he gave them the tour and showed them the place to sit and watch the lights, below is the final light configuration, I would of added more but ran out of lights. Oh well

Trains

Well Edward sure takes after his daddy when it comes to what he likes. Recently I took back out his Lego Duplo train and he loves it, just like I loved trains when I was a kid. He can't get enough of it and has even figured out how to turn the train on and off. I uploaded a video of Edward playing with the train, just goti his YouTube channel and check it out, link for his YouTube channel can be found on the home page of edwaddsy.com, below are a few pictures. 

Lights on the house are all done, will post a picture of the finished product tomorrow night, waiting for our family to arrive from Fresno first, we can't believe that Xmas is almost here!!!!! Boy did this year fly by.

Lights

Tonight we took Edward over to walk Candy Tree Lane in Lancaster, and he loved it. Candy Tree Lane is a group of homes that all decorate up, and it is well know all over the Antelope Valley. Below are a few pictures, we also added more lights to our display outside, but since I am not done no new pictures yet...

Let Vacation begin!!!

Let our 3 week vacation begin!!!! As you can see from Edward's picture below he is very happy!!!! Look for a major update to edwardday.com coming soon... Great speech session, T minus 2 days

Edward has a great speech session again, his therapist can't believe how much he has improved in just 4 short months and he is saying new stuff all the time!!!! Below is a picture at therapy, I took videos that I will upload tomorrow...

Well T minus 2 more days left this year for us to work and Edward to be in daycare!!!! Get here already Friday!!!!!

Happy birthday grandma

Edward went over to grandma Campbell's nought help her celebrate her 65th birthday. He just loves going over there and running around in the sitting room. Boy does he ever have a lot of energy! 

The cute thing about the whole visit is Edward pretending to blow out candles for grandma and yelling hi grandma when she came driving into the sitting room... Oh and every time we go by the nursing home he says grandma lives there...

A Visit with Santa

Today we took Edward for his annual visit with Santa. He didn't say too much but seemed to be very taken in with who he is.. The only year we did't take Edward to Santa was in 2011, due to the fact he had just been released from the NICU and was still on oxygen...

Loves his lights, dance dance dance

Edward just loves all the lights on his house, so much so he sat down by the tree out front and just could not stop looking at them, see picture below. After we finally got him inside he wanted to dance a little , will if dancing means going up really high in the air and back down again, boy did I get in a good workout.... Edward is 32 pounds according to our scale, hard to believe!!!!

Happy birthday grandma

Well tonight Edward face timed with his grandma Day to wish her happy birthday. He also danced and jumped all around. Boy is Edward ever full of energy... 

One thing Edward does love more than dancing or playing is reading books, if he is quiet chances are he is in his reading corner, he could stay there all day if you let him..... 

Santa Hat

Well when we decorated the house, Edward found my santa hat and would not take it off... See pictures below... It was so funny.... Edward just loved to decorated, even though he didn't know exactly how to put stuff on the tree, he would just set the stuff on the branches and throw the ornaments that look like balls, since we allow Edward to only throw balls, and they look like balls. Melissa said our tree theme this year is fabric, since all the ornaments are made of fabric....

Edward loves his swing set

Well Edward loves his swing set.... He just loved everything, especially the swing of course . I took some video and a few pictures as promised. The videos are on his YouTube page, link on homepage of edwardday.com, below are the pictures of the set in our backyard. FYI, you can see it from the Main Street one block away!!! It is 9 feet tall!!!!

Very long day

I spent 11 hours outside with AJ's Grandpa and uncle (AJ is a baby that was in the NICU the same time Edward was) putting together Edward's huge Xmas present and it still is only 90% done. It is dark so I don't have any pictures. I will take some tomorrow when it is done...... What a long day, put to see Edward's reaction to it will all be worth it. Hello

Today we went to Ridgecrest to see Dr. McPherson, Melissa Hip surgeon and the doctor that Edward's is named after. Everything is great, he is very please with Melissa's progress and can't believe how big Edward is getting... He just can't believe it. Sorry no picture this time....

Grow grow grow

We both want to know when Edward turned into a little boy? Where did our little toddler/baby go? He seems to be growing every night , maybe that is why he is sleeping 8-10 hours a night and 2 1/2 hours at daycare (nap). What a difference from Edward in 2011. See for yourself below! When did he grow up? 

Happy adjusted birthday Edward

Well today we celebrated Edward's adjusted birthday. We took him to Chuck E Cheese and even got a cake. It was so great. Chuck E Cheese came over to his table and we all sang happy birthday to Edward, at the end he even blew out his candles. Well we finally received Edward's school pictures, they actual had to take them twice due to a software glitch which is why they are so late this year.
